Well I disagree wholeheartedly with the OP. I think he's irrationally justifying a false reason explaining why he got an infraction when in fact, the reason why he got an infraction is justified in the first place. Instead of taking the blame, he's placing it on others.
So in short, I think the mods are fine. Many people blame the mods for an infraction, but it's almost always the fault of the poster IMHO.
