PVC to uniseal

What's the best way to get your pvc through the seal? I've tried warm water and soap, but i feel like I'm going to break my container pushing so hard. Don't really have a grinder or anything to bevel the edges. Can i take a box cutter and cut away at it, or a heavy duty file? Thanks in advance.

I've used uniseals for a lil while now, didn't know or never have actually pushed it through, if you look at it you'll notice its made so the pvc stops at one end

Edited to add: .....
well apparently there are two types: below is the type I've always had

...and this is the other

Didn't know that they had two kinds. Mine is like the top photo. Maybe i should have got the bottom ones. I need my pvc to go completely through or my setup is finished.

Boil water and and place a rag in the bottom let unsealed soak for a min it will soft or some use a cheap heat gun or even windex since it contains only ammonia which in small doses will not harm the plants

Thanks, i actually got them in... then realized i used the wrong size hole saw. But, i did soak them in hot water and it worked out. Thanks.
