You can easily do this. But you should start in Oct. Remember that days start to get longer again after Dec 21st.
But if you put them in containers you can move them to a dark location. This way you could flower whenever you want to.
Good Luck

in Illinois, flowering starts about the end of July. In mid-July, I take clones and root them. Their veg period is very short, but then they do a slight stretch and start flowering. I end up with a plant that is pretty much all bud. They are mature in mid-October or earlier. I can get about an ounce out of each clone in pots.

I've never done it myself but I've been toying with the idea of a mini grow for spring(and this would work in fall as well). Basically my idea is to throw a bunch of small (1 foot maybe) clones straight out into 12/12 in the spring and let them flower right away. Obviously they'll yield less but I could just do a lot of them. Sort of an outdoor SOG style grow. An ounce per plant in spring with small pots would be awesome. I'm allowed 60 plants currently.

The low height and shorter time outdoors could have some advantages over big plants that take 4-6 months. less time for them to be noticed, plants could be moved to avoid rain, etc.

I put clones outside every month until September. Usually have my last harvest in November.. The nights here are a little too cold through the winter as my outdoor spot is not very well protected from the wind.. But depending on your location and setup it might work for you.. I usually start clones indoors around December 1st and put the first one outside around March 1st. Good Luck !!
