So let me get this right.
Health Canada and the Conbots took away our right to grow because of some lame reasons, and we as Canadian Medical Marijuana Patients are letting little old Conroy fight our battle.

We have to support this fight better. Conroy needs donations and a legal team. I am going to be donating and encouraging my family and friends also. I must say I am stunned at how apathetic we are as a community.

We should have 10 to 15 thousand people willing to help. If your not into Conroy then find a different lawyer.

We need our right to grow reinstated NOW!

So nobody took away your right cause you never had one. I feel for the mmar patients who are going through this bs. I have family who will be fucked if they are unable to grow. But don't come at them like that. That's not getting you anywhere.

The problem with that is most of us are not in a financial position to afford enough meds to treat ourselves...we sure as hell don't have money to throw at a lawyer's bank account. Some of us gave a little at the beginning, and can't give more. What it comes down to,IMO, is this. I have been given the right to grow my own medicine by the country's highest court and I am confident I will retain that right. The big fight is to include all patients as equals so those caught in the mmpr and future patients will have the same reasonable access. Those that have the most to gain should be the most involved, but with that said, I question the value of sending Wilcox money. If you have it to give, I would maybe send a few bucks to Conroy for his legal fees, but that's about it. The case is going to court, regardless. Hopefully this entire post was a waste of my time, and we'll see legalization very soon.

X 2 but most seem to complain about the work being done for them.
gb I don't know if you're referring to me, but I don't know that I'm complaining rather than expressing genuine concern for the lack of communication. You have to admit that the timing of the video getting yanked and the threats made on Facebook are more than a little coincidental. Accountability my friend.

dont wait if you are sick and have a GP to back you up!!!
i wish it was that easy..I have the Dr to back me. problem is I have no space. I have a DG ready but will only start after he has the papers for the protection. no use in getting shut down to pay lawyers for the cops to be told by a judge they shouldn't have done that.. i saw that Kirk T got a grower off on all charges but how much did that cost? we don't have the $$ for the LLB...otherwise we would change today

I swore i wouldnt respond to anything else on this side of the forum but i just have to chime in.
To the op first off i dont know u and im sure u have the best intentions or are looking to help the legal beagles finance their next vacation update video.
I know a few people who have contributed plenty to this so called coalition and they have been told that over 200k has been donated so far. Unfortunately they couldnt afford to go to the conroy update meeting in the tropics but im sure the same recycled info was thrown out again.
These lawyers are just like any other lawyer the more money they get the less likely they are to push for a decision one way or the other. They work hourly and by the amount of appearances. They have been paid handsomely so far and where has it gotten them?
Do u not consider it to be a conflict of interest that this coalition owns a clinic and pushes the use of lps while saying they are fighting for growers rights?
Ive seen conroy say in an interview this is about keeping the guys who are still dgs growing but you can forget about getting that right now if ur new.
So why would anyone who wasnt already growing donate

A friend of mine spent $130K on him, his wife and his worker to get them off their last charge. The crown dropped the charges as they cops trespassed to get the photo's that were used to get the warrant. Not sure how much different it would be in a medical case with an in limbo license.

Do you have anything to back up this 200K raised claim, or should we all just take your world for it. Also what if the bill is 400K then what.
I don't know anything about this meeting in the tropics but again I don't care. I hope Conroy and his team do make money, in fact I hope the old guy gets a boat out of this.
The interview I saw he was saying he was going out of pocket and wasn't getting enough donations, so I sent a cool hundred and made this thread to try to stir the pot a little.
Instead of nit picking just post that you donated and move on.

DONATE !

I ask again average joe

If the coaltion has come out and said point blank that this is about the rights of growers that were already licenced before the change and that this has nothing to do about those of us that are after the fact.
We will never get those same licences or recognition. So why would we donate?
Does the date of someones sickness mean they are less deserving of the rights? Does a monetary figure make someone more worthy of help?
Everyone on this website is on here for the same reason....ganja to some medicine to others. Yet every thread on here turns into a piss and moan fest about how shitty our government is and how unfair the laws are.
Im forced to decide on buying groceries, paying my bills or buying meds.
Seems like a simple decision to most however for those of us in the actual situation its not that easy.
So i apologize that im not as moved as u when i watch a greasy rich lawyer beg for more money to fight for what should be common sense. Id be willing to bet that not one cent has come out of his pocket nor will it.
You can continue to finance the financial black hole thats supposed to be progress but i unfortunately have more important decisions to weigh.

Hit the nail on the head, couldn't agree more.

So Torontotoke your saying Conroy should just donate his time to the cause? Have you any idea how much paperwork and time is involved in a case like this? Take a look at the evidence, affidavids and everything else they have to put together for this case, would u spend hundreds of hours on non paying work that took u away from paying work? Don't think so. How do you know that out of this court case the government might be forced to allow home grows again along with the Lps? Lawyers cost a lot of money, most good ones are 500 per hour. That adds up big time especially when the case in feb alone is 3 weeks long.

waiting to change addresses.....sigh..........
Fuck them, change your address. Do it like the old days, fax them a hand written piece of paper with your MMAD number with personal info to verify yourself. Old address -> new address. Done this twice never a issue. Even one time i made a request for a call back from a actual HC rep (old call centre days) they mentioned the note on my file. At that time you were to send in the fax confirmation with your new form A.

edit. I miss mmar talk :(
