ok so this grow journal is last minute but i cant miss out on a journal since this is my first grow ever.

August 19th, 2007

my plants...

mother #1 - 3.5-4 months old
mother #2 - received as newly rooted clone on August 12th, 2007
mother #3 - received as newly rooted clone on August 12th, 2007

20 clones in humidifying chamber - took cuttings August 18th, 2007 from mom #1
10 clones in flowering room - received as newly rooted clones on August 12th, 2007

my equipment...

flowering room - 600w HPS w/ cool tube and digital ballast. inline fan, insulated ducting and a carbon filter. dehumidifier/ air conditioner.

veg room - moms #2, #3, and humidifying chamber under 2 40 watt 48" wide spectrum fluorescents. while on another shelf mom #1 is under CFLs.

the clones in the flowering room are under a 18/6 light schedule until these 20 new cuttings from mom #1 root. the lights in the flowering room will be converted to 12/12 for good at that point. i am using Sugar Peak Nutrients during this grow; Vegatative, Flowering, Grand Finale. the soilless mix is Foxfarm ocean forest 85% and perlite 15%.

like i said, this is my first grow and i am trying to make it a good one. i will make sure to keep updating pics and info. here is more pics...

today i will be watering my babies. i awoke this morning around 11:30am and started my duties. first i took a look at the 20 cuttings in the humidity chamber and they were looking great. mom#2 and #3 are looking okay but they could be better.

now into the flowering room...

from the 10 clones 8 are looking good. the other 2 im really not sure about they seem to be losing color like the leaves are dying but that is the only leaves they have!

anyways... here we go with the watering. i will be using 1 gal. of distilled water. the nutes are used as listed below:

Sugar Peak Veg. - 1 tsp
Sugar Daddy - 10 ml
Superthrive - 2 drops

after all the nutes are added to the distilled water and mixed using a submersible pump we will check the pH and adjust accordingly to 5.7-6.5

perfecto! our pH was around 4.0 but we adjusted and stabilized it to about 6.2. 150ml nuted and pH'ed water to each and ever plant right as the lights go off and we are done for today.

comments, questions, and suggestions are appreciated

until next time,

i ran into a little problem within the last 48 hours my temps went from 75 to 85F and my humidity went from 32 to 52. i really think is is due to the fact that we have been seeing 101F days for the last week and i left the door open on the grow room for about half an hour(the door being 1 whole wall). i am currently in the process of getting the temps and humidity stable... i think im gunna run down to the hydro shop and get the co2boost.

comments questions and suggestions appreciated,

ok so its been a few days since ive updated my grow journal and alot has happened...

the other day we had a few difficulties in the grow room. my temps started to raise and stopped at about 86F after hitting 93F at one point. my humidity raised to 51% for a day and dropped down a little and stabilized out at 41%. i couldnt figure out what was going wrong. what i decided to do is to run the intake on the ducting to the outside of the grow box. in doing this my room will not be recieving fresh air from the outside and will allow my a/c to do its job. by not having fresh air i needed co2. i went down to the hydro shop and picked up this system called co2boost. after doing all of this my temps dropped from 86F to a stable 73F and humidity remains at 41%. i picked up an oscillating fan from target and mounted it on the door so the co2 can be distributed into the room.

the clones are now 9 days old and are still green but no roots are visible yet...

I would veg on a 24/0 schedule if you can afford it. How many plants do you have? 2 600 watters will yield you a lot of bud. I am excited to see this grow. Does Purple Urkle bud have a purple tent?
