Purple Trichromes?

My brother got a seed from one of his friends and when it started flowering the buds turned purple, I looked at the trichromes through a microscope and they were either clear or purple. I was wondering if anyone has heard of this and if it even matters.

I see what appears to be purple, and it is possible.

I would actually look at the same trichromes under a differen't specrtrum(s) of light. Note the results under differen't types of light. Flouresant, verses Neon, verses white, verses led, verses mh etc. etc.

I have found very varied results under differen't lights. White light or full spectrum would be the closest to so called reality of the actual color.

my grow link at the bottom of my post got same results. Sometimes the trichomes do not brown rather they turn a tint of purple or even dark purple. Both on my purple buds and the green buds. The trichs turned purple rather then brown. Some trichomes do that on other grows i have done the same thing has happened. Its a mix bag when it comes to the color wheel. I have even seen a tint of pink.

He is right, white, yellow, orange, brown, red, pink. silver, goldish, blackish, purple, even yes green have been reported. I have only seen red white yellow orange brown purple and silver myself on my own grows. Yellow pot with white crystlas, purple pot with silver crystals. It is a mixed bag, depending on strain, and conditions and nutes.

well thanks for all the help. I just think it looks pretty cool, right now I'm trying to take the plant that was in flower and put it back into veg so I can clone it and do it indoor and maybe next year outdoor.

You asked if it matters. . . only thing that really matters if it is works, tastes good and if others like it too.

Purple is usually worth more, not less. . . so take it as a treat.

Yeah I know, but I found I really liked the strain when it was in flower and want to keep growing it.

I don't use nutes, Only molasses and water. I was ganna give it some vitamin B but I think I'm ganna wait until I transplant it.

you can do it but marijuana genetics can change due to mutations caused by extreme stress. I mean i would just order some seeds from the attitude seed bank. you can order as little as 1 at a time of a really nice strain in there pics and mix section

though you like the strain they have some really nice selections. The blueberry and also the white berry are great. Also i know alot of people worry about the mail thing esp people who have not bought seeds before, but seriously it is impossible to track a order of seeds or know whats in the package. Billions upon billions of peices of mail are sent a day in the world and with the budget cuts from usps and the overall hidden nature seeds ship you are better off picking what you want and growing some nice seeds your next op.
