Purple Trichomes

Anyone ever seen purple in there Trichomes. Now I am not talking amber Trichomes. I am talking about purple in the stem of the Trichomes. I have never seen this before. I have 3 plants that started to go purple on me several weeks ago. They're close to harvest. The pictures below are from one of the plants. I noticed it on the last sample i was checking. I was checking the trics under my 2000x microscope and seen they had purple in the stem of the tric. Not all of them, just some here and there. The pictures I think are at 400x. I've done this strain before(not sure what it actually is, but I keep cloning it over and over) and never seen purple going up the stem of a Trichome or maybe I never noticed it before. Just thought it was pretty cool and wanted to share it with everyone.

First of all, AWESOME PICTURES!!! Second of all, THAT IS WEIRD! I have never seen a trichome so close before, let alone purple in the trichomes! Sorry, I don't have an answer for you, but I sure will keep posted so I can see the answer when someone does have it.

I just saw the same thing on one of my plants. Using mixed seeds so not sure what strain but it is going purple and the tri's look exactly like yours do. Very cool to see, it's almost like something growing inside the trichome.

Yeah it is pretty cool. Normally I am not looking so close up. I am at about 100x. If it's something that happens to purple strains then thats probably why I never noticed it before cause I wasn't looking close enough.

I'm using a 400 wat HPS.

Im just curious as to how you got your pictures of those trichomes crazy stuff man.
Like Fennimore I use a 2000x scope to veiw my trics. I'm pretty sure those pictures were taken at 400x. This is the actually microscope I use. I actually bought it from that guy too. It came from India. Free shipping so I didn't care. LOL. I don't normally use it for this though, except around harvest time. I use it for veiwing exposed microcontrollers or smart cards. I open the microcontrollers with HN03(Nitric Acid) so I can get to the inside of it for micro probing.

Now this doesn't have a camera on it, but what I do is hold my 10mp camera up to the eye peice and take pictures of it. There is an adaptor you can buy that will hold your camera in place. You simple slide the eye peice out. Then put the adaptor in the eye peices place. The put your camera into the adaptor. I'm to cheap to buy it though. LMAO. I have a CNC machine and do have plans to machine my own. But I just haven't gotten around to it.

When I clicked on the link, I was like, " $9,000 FOR A MICROSCOPE??" Then I realized that it was a different currency. $200 US is around what I was expecting to see! HAHA! When I read that $9,000 price and remembered you saying that you were too cheap to buy the holder, I started wondering how $9,000 was a cheap buy... HAHA! I'm a true stoner! :eyesmoke:
