Purple Maxx

I picked up this product from the local hydro store. It's called Purple Maxx and it claims some big stuff on the back. It's supposed to make the bud sites closer together, stimulate crazy crystallization and resin, and sometimes turn the buds and plants purple. My question is how well it actually works and which way to best apply the product. It says you can either foliar feed or add to the watering.

So if you've used this, let me know. There was only a couple old posts on the product, so I was wondering if any new information was out-- some good experiences hopefully!

i use it in week two of flowering and put a little bit in all my foliar feeds then i use it again 4 weeks before harvest. it gives you mad crystallization and it does turn some strains purple.good luck

Thanks!! Did you have to cut back on your nutrients? It says that it causes massive uptake of nutrients so to cut back.. I guess I'll just have to see.

The last thing I want is something else to go wrong (like nute burn) with my babies.

go easy,at first. you really dont need all that though its good advertisment.the plant itself determens how dank the plant will be. you should just feed it,and make its inviroment perfect. you can pour all the nutes you want on it, its not going to make the strand danker.its all about the strand..

I figure it's no hurt trying it out though... it's made outta organic acids and amino acids... so it doesn't seem like it would hurt my babies. and I'm only adding it to one plant for the first week -- so if anything happens it won't be the whole garden.

We'll just have to see :)

yea i did cut it back to 1/3 strength like it says when i use it with my ferts but usually i add it with plain water. it works well if you you use it as a foliar spray or if your already foliar feeding just added some to your mix.but just use it the first four weeks of flowering.you should also pick up gravity if your using purple maxx, the do work wonders when used together.:joint::hump:

PURPLE MAX IS A GREAT PRODUCT TO USE AS A FOLIAR. IT WILL LAST A GREAT DEAL OF TIME. WEST COAST HYDROPONICS IN OC HELPED ME UNDERSTAND THAT BUSH MASTER CAN STOP ALL VERTICAL GROWTH AND SEEM TO MAKE THE BUDS TIGHTER BUT PRODUCTION SEEMS LOW. TRY USING BIO BOOST ACCELARATOR BY CANNA! WEST COAST HAS IT WWW.GOTHYDRO.COM OR WWW.WESTCOASTHYDRO.NET

Gravity watch out Purple max too They are very hot any yellow in you plants or any problems with your plant you are goin to kill them, even using half of what is recommended! If you use it do 25-30 % of recommended! I, ve seen plants go from OK to dead over night no second chance ( 20 of them OUCH!)

Hey Chelsea, be very careful with purple maxx. It's a great product but as we all know, hopefully, purple isn't determined by the nutes. It's determined by the temps and the genetics in the plant. With that being said, it will add resin production, and if you use it with gravity, you will be amazed at the denseness.
Just remember, it runs really hot. Really hot. I had 120 healthy ladies die on me in 4 days. So be careful. Also, what medium are you in?

I dont know if this thread is still alive but......I have plants 3 weeks into flower..I just fed them yesterday. So I was going to wait 2 more days then dose them with purple maxx. Is that a good idea? And how many times do you feed them with purple maxx?

Here is what i did the last two weeks of flowering i used water and sweet in my res.nothing else then every 4 days i sprayed it with purple maxx and purple you will have. I did it on white widow ,Lol now she is purple widow and full of snow.

Purple maxx is formally know as snow storm or stacker. And its original name fits it best! This product is from humboldt's county own and was formulated by older growers in conjunction with scientists to create a immediate snow storm on your flowers and leaves. The potassium helps stack buds closer as well. Ive noticed only one problem with the product which is watch how much you use due to its very acidic. Gravity is the big brother to purple maxx, they are both HCO nute line. Both products do exactly what they say and gravity will make you invest in some bamboo sticks to hold up your heavy tops. Only caution here is dont use to early it says to use 3 wks before harvest. If you use it too early before your buds are big you may end up with small rockbuds. As growers we want huge tops colas so im suggesting using gravity 2wks before harvest flush to let buds get bigger then heavier. Finally flushing with purple max and blackstrap molasses.
