Purple and Green buds

I am harvesting now and a lot of my buds are purple on the side facing the light and green on the side facing away from my lights?

Can anyone tell me why it is doing this?

Thanks for your help!

maybe your just seeing the purple because it's in the light? I've never heard of this.
It isn't the light and the purple seems to fade as it starts drying?

I tried taking a pic but my camera sucks, I'll try with the wife's camera when she gets home.

Thanks!

i get bud that has a purple hue to it all the time, usually bud grown in cooler temps has a tenancy start turning purple in the late stages, dont expect to get full purple bud or anything but u will notice a discoloration, nothing to worry about

Several pigments are responsible for color in plants: chlorophyll, carotene, xanthophyll, and anthocyanins. Chlorophyll is the pigment in chloroplasts of plants that reflects green light. Plants use the energy absorbed by chlorophyll in photosynthesis to produce food for their growth and development.
During flowering, with the passing of summer, days become shorter. The phytochromes, the light-sensing mechanisms in leaves, recognize the shorter day lengths.
The molecules reflecting red wavelengths, anthocyanins, are water-soluble pigments that occur in the cell sap, creating the red, pink, and purple hues. These pigments may not be present during the summer, or vegetative cycle, but their formation is encouraged during a succession of cool nights and sunny days.
The first degree of natural purple in cannabis could be characterized as occurring exclusively in the leaves and petioles: the colors of autumn appearing in the fan leaves during cooler temperatures and close to harvest.

i dont know why the side that faces the light is turnin purp, but typically they tend to do that in lower temperatures.

any bud will turn purp in cooler temperatures, even if it aint a purple strain. PRETEND PURPLE.

on the plus side (if u sell that shit), people go apeshit for purple bud.
