Purging bho without using a vac chamber

Hey everyone, I'm looking for some advice when purging bho without using a vac chamber. I currently don't have a vac chamber so I am curious on what other ways I can completely purge the oil. Also I was wondering could I just leave the oil out at room temperature for a couple weeks could that possibly make the butane completely evaporate. Any advice is welcome, please and thank you!!

Yes you can purge without vac. You can use heat but not high heat. Or yes like you said leave it out for longer period of time at room temp without adding heat. The less heat you use the better for the oil.
I don't know any scientific data off hand to prove if you can get 100% of the tane out of it but I'm sure others will chime in more about that.
Try to make as much surface area of the oil exposed to purge more effectively

how much are you trying to work with? (just oil, not weed)

you can easily purge in thin films, what kind of consistency do you wish to achieve?

Thanks for the advice yoda! I got 20 grams of oil and I am looking for more of a tougher consistency. I made some previously and I used heat to purge but the oil got too hot I'm assuming because it was like goo, almost like iso hash. I just did a run and I let it purge of low heat(100-120 degrees) and now I just have sitting at room temp(67-70F). I like the consistency its a now, I am just wondering if I should just leave it, but how long should I keep out until all the butane is evaporated?

what is the oil on? parchment? oil slick?

get it onto something like that..

you can melt your oil to about 100-130 no vac.. heat it up till it gets to that temp, then remove, anddddd:

, fold it back and forth on its self, do this until it cools to below 80F.

thennnn, re heat it up.

thennn repeat fold..

with 20 grams of oil, you should be able to do this fold/heat process about 10 times or so, (maybe even less) until you get a tough consistency at 80F and lower..

after it gets to a tougher stage, i fold back into a ball at room temp,

then place my ball in my slightly warm oven (about 80-95F) let it sit for a few days or so.. and ya. good tings can happen.

try it! dont have it under heat long, just till entire oil gets to about 130. then remove, and make it happen cap'tin

The oil I made last time, I purged it with just heat but I think the oil got too hot because it was like goo, a similar consistency of iso hash.

That iso looks real good Guz! When I tried to make it, it was real gooey and hard to work with. It wasn't the best but I would roll it in keef and it was real nice haha. Right now I got the oil on wax paper, Ill give it a shot. I got a griddle that stays around 100F that I can put the wax paper on with the oil. If I just wanted to leave out at room temp how long do think it would take to evap all the butane?

I hadn't planned on making it my avatar or I would have showed a pic of a few grams of that powder lol..I just put it and a few others to show the progression of the hash...pretty sure their is no way whether crushing frozen shatter or scrapping super thin to get it that white though

if you just leave it, i think it will take a bit..

with 100F under it, and a fan also blowing over it lightly, should be better.

i would seriously enjoy kneading the hell out of it though. you get there much faster! :]

then let it sit on that griddle, ultra low...

I'll give it a try because I dont know if I could wait that long either. Is there a certain temp that if the oil hits, the oil will start losing potency and flavor? Also I was thinking what if I just put the wax paper with the oil on like a cloning mat for a couple days. It will stay at a consistent temp until the butane is gone but I am still wondering how long that would take too.

itll just take a longgg time..

if you got time to wait, you need to flatten that oil down to PAPER thin..

to do so, you'll probably need to heat it up a bit just so it gets that thin.. (place a piece of parchment over the current oil, take a hot rolling device, and roll it out.) then place the sandwiched papers in the freezer for a few minutes to get it nice and hard, remove from the freezer quickly, and peel off one parchment, bammm, super thin film..

now, the kneading way i speak of is moree fun. :]

you should try half the slowwwww thin way, and half the kneading way.

Haha no can do on the pictures but I can keep you updated. Im going to try and knead it tomorrow but for the night it's just chillin at room temp.

spread as thin as you can and put it in the microwave on power low for a minute or two. Take it out let it cool and repeat until your satisfied.

I don't know what that white powder shit is in that pic, but it is not something you want.

Definitely what I look for..tc flam 1itsme all have shown me nice powder...everyone likes different consistencies though

I think I can almost duplicate it; and ill say its some of the best stuff I have had. Although I melted it into shatter.

Why not do iso if no vac?

Whats a good method when using iso. I tried a while ago just mixing trim and iso alcohol, then straining and letting it evaporate. I really didn't like the product that came out, it was too gooey, so I never tried it again or any other methods.
