Purchase of lighting Question(s)

I am wanting to buy a DIGITAL 400 watt HPS GROW LIGHT SYSTEM w/ 400w sun BALLAST from HTG Supply. Cost is $120, Are they reliable? It is made by Digital Greenhouse r they good? How much warmer does it make my garden room w/ cool tube & w/o? I am a first timer and dont need top of the line yet HELP!!!!

Digi's are more expensive, and if you buy some cheap brands they can cause interference on phone lines.

Personally I hate 400w HPS, I think its stupid, it puts out 55000lumens. A 600w HPS runs more efficiently and puts out 98000 lumens for only 200w more you get double the light.

Digi ballasts dont put out heat like magnetic ballasts, but the bulbs still do. One 400 or 600 wont be so bad, if you have a cooltube it will be a lot easier to manage temps if it becomes an issue. I dont know if you have AC or not.

The only difference between tha digi and magnetic is the controll of tha ballast? And if I use a ccol tube w/ a vent fan attached to the hood do I need to attach tha hoses to my actual vents in my house? Sorry for the neeeeeeewbie questions but thanks for tha help so far!
