sup guys .....what would happen if a plants flowering time is supposed to be 8 or 9 weeks and i pull it at the beggining of the 7th week of flower.....all of the buds are like 90% red hairs ...what are the positives and the negatives of pulling early

The negatives are: inferior taste, less potency, and diminished yields.

The positives are: getting a faster return on your investment, lower risk of losing your harvest from thieves or your own failures, and of course the classic "fuck it" argument.

Don't do it. My buddy just did that with his LSD strain and what happens is it completely misses the body stone part of the process thus the potency is nothing what it should be resulting in a drastic decrease in the value of his crop. In short, it looks great but its just not very good. I warned him, if he tries to treat it as top shelf dank, expect the complaints to come real quick. If you pull it before there are any amber trichs, there then was not much sense in even bothering to grow it IMO.

Positives: ??

Negatives: Everything

Let her ripen up!! Pistils are insignificant of ripeness...Check it...Here is a picture of Kosher Kush, fully ripe, with white pistils. Then, a picture of Somango, 4 weeks from being ready, with all orange pistils. It's the trichomes that matter!!!

Premature herb never smokes well. It has an awkward, greeny, leafy, chlorphyll, almost melon-like smell. The effect is probably 25% of what it would be mature, if even that. It is a waste of the plant in my opinion. Patience was the hardest part for me to learn to be perfectly honest. Because it is tempting, you see the trichomes, you know there is medicine there, within your reach, probably better than you could buy, but still you have to wait 2 or 3 weeks to supposedly "perfect" it. What you will learn is, those 2 to 3 weeks are the difference between trash and treasure.

Just don't do it... You are shooting yourself in the foot just to harvest pre-maturely, having wasted up to 6 months of your time... I would most certainly suggest and urge you to let them finish and allow all of the essential oils to mature and build up the proper levels of cannabinoids before you chop it... Patience is a virtue grasshopper...

Blackstrap molassas is great when properly measured and mixed with aerated, distilled water, but can be a curse, and even choke out root systems when misused...

i believe it choked out mine....the leaves on that one plant just started dying and curling and drying out ...it looked like if i waited another week it would have been surely trash

If you didnt mix it thoroughly with the proper amount of H20, then I'd imagine you did choke your root system out... I've seen it happen a bunch with alot of new growers I've assisted in their new-found hobby... I've seen alot of good plants suffer and die, that otherwise wouldn't have... Try mixing it next time, and enjoy the benefits of added sugar during flowering...
