OK, I just went ahead and read UB's thread on the lack of need of high P foods.

Now he is saying don't use a 1:6:1 ratio high p bloom food. And that N is required throughout the stretch.

ok so like I said my GROW formula is 4:3:6 and my BLOOM is 2:6:3.5 , ok ... so its not a mega high p content ,and also you are required to feed both grow and bloom together ,so first week of flowering with them mixed up the plant is getting a ration of 6:9:9.5 and that is gradually going up to the level of 10:21:18.5

I have also read an experienced biobizzers modification to the grow schedule, in that instead of going up to 4ml per litre of bloom by week 7 making it 12:27:20 , to go 2ml grow and back down to 1 ml bloom making it 10:12: 15.5 .

so really biobizz can not really be considered high P feeding. Though you are still correct in general, just making you aware of my own feeds values.

The only thing I can think of maybe, is if I withheld the bloom food until stretching is over.. then I would maybe not have got the yellow leaf tips, though I am still convinced it was slight nute burn from giving too much Epsom salt.

OR

Are you suggesting I go with increasing amounts of grow only so by week 5 of flower say I would be giving 3mls of grow ,making the feed 12:9:18 and that is good for the plant along with cal/mag..?

So if you dont mind me asking Kite, what's the deal with additives like PK 13/14 and others like cyco swell? Are they not needed at all to get the swelling buds? Im very intrigued...

And Puff- glad to hear it bro ;) they cant resist us handsome men hey hahaha

Mostly marketing hype

Here's the grand secret. Want big and lotsa buds? Keep as many leaves as you can green to chop time. Concentrate on the leaves and the buds will come. Sure as shit.

All a PK boost will do and even that is arguable, is supposedly increase trichome production as being a nutrient stress factor.

My advice is keep as many healthy green leaves as possible. Increase CALMAG K and sulfur weeks 3-one week before chop. Sulfur is the nutrient the cannabinoid synthase machine is fueled with as a simple explanation for that. The floral clusters are mostly calcium and when boosting Cal and Mag you need to boost k so as to not worry wit lockouts. The is why even though not as much N is required late in flower you still need it in quite an amount as Cal will block N and the N and Mag are required to keep photosynthesis at prime and feed growth.

Excess P will hinder most of these processes and is why it is imperative no high P foods unless outdoors.

Now the truth is bloom boosters do nothing but take your money. That's why they market them.

to compute ratios you add all the n values of the nutes your are using on equal amounts then average the by the number of nutes you are using. Do the same to the P and N values and that is your ratio.

And yes I am advising not to use the bloom at all

I know this is fairly old mate .. What was your light set up & soil mix for grow?
light was 250 watt duel spectrum hps

soil was just some standard potting mix from local garden centre .. I think sphagnum peat based. ..

really gutted I didn't finish this grow, just had a nightmare with nl9 from sagarmatha, had to scrap it after 6 wasted weeks, will definitely be doing wl nl again
