whats up guys. we're about 13 days into flowering and moving right along very fast. we have LOTS of bud sites and tons of hairs, but i have a lot of fan leaves blocking the bud sites. now, i know alot of ppl say not to prune off any leaves during flowering, but i thing its going to affect my yield if i dont. what do you think?

it's going to effect your yeild if you DO. these leaves feed your plant. if they really bother you you can tuck them out of the way.mother nature knows what she's doing. she put those there for a reason.

NO don't trim them your leaves are what produce photosynthesis that is what makes food in short to make your buds big and fat. I felt the same way for a long time but trust me i have been growing for 10 or so years now it is not the thing to do.

DO NOT touch the leaves as long as they are healthy.....
You could try bending the plant over and/or bending branches in such a way as to allow the light to get closer to more buds overall....the more of the plant you can get closer to the light the better...

Just do a little lst on the lower branches, u wont bealive what these babies can grow towards the light...this way u avoid pruning and still get decent buds on the lower branches...Peace

i was going to start a thread for my question but this is right up the alley.

my plant is about as far along into flowering as the originator of this thread. only, the 2 top developing buds (about as big as a dime or penny if those were sphere) got burned on the top from hot light. only about 1/2 thru tho. would it be better to cut them off or leave them alone? will new buds form faster than these damaged ones?

from what i have found cuttin the dead shit off does nt hurt them (although it cannot be be worse than burning them)As I did the same thing with a few of mine!Cut the burnt stuff off and they still continued to grow fine. How ever they did die prematurly so I am not quite sure? The remaining 3 are doing beautifully as Istarted them on LST training.Look the thread up it may help your problem.

so i guess its better to start with a new healthy flower then hope the burnt one grows into something special?

well i went ahead and took off a few leaves that were blocking bud sites and it has not stopped growth at all. infact, its doing a lot better. i think its really matter of opinion to most experienced growers ive talked to on other forums, some ppl say dont prune and some ppl say do it if its needed. i really think its strain- dependent also. the places that were getting no light are thriving. check it out.
