Proper way to transplant from fabric grow bag?

As the title suggests, this is the question. Roots have exploded through the bag and are showing everywhere around the perimeter. In straight coco and would like suggestions on whether to let coco dry a bit or leave it moist when doing transplant. Going from one gallon to five gallon. What happens to the roots that are coming through the pot? Will the transplant harm them, and if so, is that a serious concern? Thanks to any and all with helpful tips and or info.

I transplanted 3 auto blue amnesias that where hanging out of fabric pots at the bottom by the roots, I asked a simalar question but got no real answers so I went a head and removed them really slowly a few snapped of no matter how gentle i was, no harm came to the plant to my knowledge all finished fine with lovely smoke hope this helps bongsmilie

Thanks for the prompt reply. I was assuming that it would be OK but everyone knows the deal with assuming. Guess I will muster the courage and give it a go.:peace:

If you use air-pots you won't have that problem.
