Proper Seed Storage?

Hello

I have about fifteen feminized Lemon Kush seeds that I want to store for about 9 months to a year and was wondering what is the best way to store them? I heard that people use the refrigerator or freezer but I feel like alot can go wrong with the thawing and refreezing and everything so I am definitely trying to avoid that. Any help is appreciated.

I think the important things are refrigeration, temperature and humidity stability. I store mine in little dram jars they sell at the smoke shop. They're about 3/4" diameter and 3/4" tall. You could use small plastic baggies.

I put a few grains of rice in with the seeds. I think the mass contributes to temperature stability. And, they absorb moisture. Should help keep humidity stable (no condensation if the jars are exposed to room temperature for a few minutes).

I put those jars (or little bags) in a plastic storage container, and keep it in the refrigerator. This outer container helps hold the temperature stable.

I might be overthinking it. But, that's what I do.

Honestly for that short of timeframe nothing you do will make a difference.
Ive kept seeds in the freezer and at room temp for a very long time taking no special precautions. Most all my seed stock is 10-20 years old. Some left outdoors taking tx summers and freezing conditions for many years. Keep in mind they will have frozen in nature, some seeds even need cold moist conditions (stratification) before they will germ. Even most seeds i have that are crushed will germ so long as they were mature.

However the best environment..
you want it sealed with 60% humidity at about 60°..or the freezer.and no it won't somehow mess them up being thawed.
The seeds are alive and many dont do well under
under 20% humidity..but drier is not better..
like with decreasing humidity, longevity is improved once you reach the upper critical moisture content. at this level respiration is allowed to occur and the seed actually repairs damage it would receive.. at extremely dry conditions the seed will likely die from the rapid water absorption. they first must be exposed to humid air...

I personally store my seeds the same way I store my buds. Airtight dry container. Never had a problem with seeds degrading overtime.

If I was you I would just throw them in an empty medicine bottle and put them in a drawer.
