Proper PH level?

So I am new to growing yes of course and am wondering what a proper PH level is and what exaclty PH is used for or in? If someone doesnt mind answering a noobs question id appreciate it thanks

6.5/7.0 ph is maintained at 6.5/7.0 so the plant takes up the nutes bit hard to explain at diffrent ph levals diffrent nutes are taken up by the plant 6.5/7.0 is the best range for the plant to take up all the nutes it needs

ph is the level of the soils acidity and salinity , ph starts at 1.0 rite upto like 14.0 1.0 being really acidy 7 being neutral "in between" and 14 having alot of alkalinity . goto a hardware store and find a ph meter youll need one if your going to grow
