Most of the Blue Dogs are gone. Some of it is the redistricting in GOP controlled state houses, but the party is not doing them any favors either. A local black fellow got term limited out of his state rep office. He is a great guy, and I always voted for him as a state rep. He ran against a sitting Dem congressmen and won the primary, but lost the seat to the GOP in the general. Now all we get is weak candidates with no hope of winning. I would love to have our Blue Dog back.

You only have to be 35 to be eligible for president. For Congress, it's 25.
The reason for that is respect. The vast majority of adults would never respect let alone support a president that wasn't even old enough to have any real life experience at all.
The founding fathers wanted whoever would be the president to be able to speak of life experiences first hand:
Raising children
Taking care of a household
Working towards retirement
Burying loved ones
These are all things they wanted a president to have experienced.
Consider how many mellinials are 30, living in their mothers basement, racked with debt, single, watching anime porn.
You really think they're in the shape to run a nation?
In the end, the founding fathers were correct and the vast majority of Americans agree.
That's why the youngest president we ever elected was Teddy Roosevelt.
