Profitability Of Trim/kief/oil Ect. Ect.

So I have a unique opportunity with the help of an investor to do some business in WA.

I know what I'm able to grow and how much, and I've been keeping everything in the business

plan as conservative as possible.

But one thing I don't know about is the profitability of the rest of the plant.

On average, what ratio to actual buds is the rest of the plant worth?

I know this could be broken down on whether it's turned to hash/oil/edibles/cooking oils/tincures ect.

But AVERAGE......with relation to yield

For the sake of an example, let's say I grow a 1 pound plant that sold for $1500 wholesale, could I make $750 with the rest of the plant for a 2:1 ratio?

I'm not expecting a 2:1 ratio, that's just for demonstrative purposes.

Anyone in the dispensary business who could answer this, it'd be greatly appreciated.

all strain dependent.. honestly. I got a strain right now.. that im hitting 13% nice beautiful yellow clear shatter.. that smells like nug runs.. that for every 2 pounds of bud I get about qp of trim.. that qp.. can turn in to a nice 1000 bucks if sold by the G after making bho..

but other plants trim.. yielding under 10% . is worth it . but.. my next harvest.. is going toward a nice closed loop system. so I don't need to waste butane anymore.. the investment is worth it tho.. honestly. most of the plant can be used.. fans and stems closest to buds.. for topicals.. trim for bho.. larf for bho.. and nugs to smoke. works well..

Well currently, the dispensaries are paying 125/oz for top shelf bud in Sw. Wa..

If I understand what JO is saying; he’s getting 13% return on 4 oz of trim and selling that for 1k --- that ain’t happening here where the dispensaries are selling concentrates for 25-50 gram.

I’ve personally sorted through several strains and phenotypes to build a working model for myself. And still, every once in a while you get a surprise. Keep that in mind when building your marketing strategy.

Good Luck

I must just have good luck then...everyone I have ever dealt with has been very cool from both CL and Budtrader. I do know that is not the norm though.
