Producing Feminised Seeds Using Colloidal Silver

If it is a clone plant, then it has the same genes. But let's say you have two phenos of one strain to create female seeds. Your still not passing on the male genes in that generation, anything bred from that plant in the future will be bottle necked. No chance of recessive genes popping up.

Ok, well we're working with clones. I don't know what the ramifications are of using different plants. We were discussing earlier if the resulting pollen could be used on other females besides its sibling for example, crossing strains etc.

pollen is pollen you could breed it with any plant, its still going to be pollen, just from a female.

But about the bottlnecking, that kinda makes sense. I don't know if that really happens tho. That's weird to think about. Its comparable to how a cross has hybrid vigor, so a the kind a vigor a male and female create could be lost over generations of male-less breeding.

Its a theory. Don't know if there's any truth behind it.

I thought I read at the start of this that G.O.D. did this on three clones from a feminized plant. Is this procedure possible on a non feminized plant? and just when you determine that it is a female take the clones and do the C.S. treatment?

Perfectly possible - no reason why not.
The reason I used feminised plants is ... it's all I had

so far my colloidal silver experiment is going as planned but i am clueless on what comes first, the chicken or the egg.

I am applying the silver to a fem auto lowlife blueberry and on the main bud it looks like seeds are forming. Or is it pollen balls?

My question is are those seeds or are those pollen sacs. I hope they are seeds.
I am not sure how this works.
I have been spraying a fem auto plant.

Those are pollen sacs developing.
Collect the pollen, it will produce feminised seeds when used on a female.
If you have another of your fem auto seeds that you can grow to use the pollen on, you should get a load of fem auto seeds.
I've no idea what you will get if you use the pollen on a different strain, presumably the seeds would be feminised but who knows whether the auto trait is genetically dominant.

So this being an auto and my first time doing this I have a few more questions if you don't mind.

When are these sacs good to take off the plant? They all seem so small and I want to make sure its not to premature to remove. I don't want this pollen affecting my other plants next door so I want to remove and save it.
How long once a female flower is pollinated does it take for seeds to start and how long till they are finished on average?
Do I need to keep spraying the plant at this point?

I've found that if you stop spraying CS, the male flowers continue to develop but any new flowers can revert back tofemale so it is best to keep spraying.
It is best to pick the sacs just as they open of just before - they swell up and look creamy yellow - When close to being ready I remove the plant from the flowering lights and put it elsewhere - doesn't need regular lighting, it will continue to flower (mine gets put back into my veg chamber).
Seeds will usually be quick to set and develop - less than a week and you will see very swollen calyxes - about 5 weeks should see the seeds fully mature and ripening.
The seeds once mature, can finish ripenig during drying and curing - although the longer the plant is growing the better for the seeds.

I'd love to have the room to grow them now (I want some more Red Dragon buds) but they have to wait their turn.
I've got some Tangerine Dream that will be flowering in about 6 weeks, and some Acapulco Gold have just popped that will flower 6 weeks later, in another 6 weeks I will be sprouting some Pineapple Chunk - then hopefully it is time for the Red Dragon again - 3 months from now I will be popping the home made feminised Red Dragon seeds.

Can someone show me pictures of a fem plant with swollen calyxes and then seeds starting and when they are almost done. How many seeds can a bud hold or produce?


Other question I have is on my auto that you see here it has those pollen sacs that are about to bust, if this auto self pollinates her self and starts making seeds do you think the seeds will be ready before she has to be cut down? She is 5 weeks old now so she might have another 4 weeks to 5 at best. This being my first auto i have no idea how long they live - my big question is should I just collect the pollen or should I collect the pollen but also let this plant make seeds to? Will it have enough time to make them?

Also how do I tell when the pollen is right to harvest and use? i also want to store it so can I still pick off the sacs and store them like I do seeds in a cool, dark area?

To tell when it is ready to harvest it is best to watch one or two open so you can learn what they look like just before they open, and it's best to store in glass vials with a grain or two of silica gel to keep dry. Store in fridge.

Just took this picture of a couple of male flowers that literally just opened, I have a pointer going to a male flower that is just about to open within hours as well. Should give you an idea of what to be looking for I hope:

Has anyone tried these new seeds yet, to see if they truelly are femminized?

Another question, if i may. Can the CS be made and stored ( how long is it good for ) so i can use it later. Or do i have to make it fresh everytime? Also can i use bottled water instead of Demineralised Water?

Well, I never thought I'd be saying this, but....damn! it's female!

LOL I guess my CS wasn't strong enough. As I mentioned in earlier posts, it only let it go for 8 hrs because it looked quite active and had sediment. I plan to try again, using a little lower voltage and letting it go for at least 24 hrs. Cute little plant though lol

YEA - - damn awesome post and also to Grumpy. I was just looking at my pollen infested auto plant and one sac that I had in my finger went up in a little white cloud so now I see what pollen is and how small it is. this pik is perfect - I see the small white pollen that is what I need to look for.
I pollinated my other plant and I will add pics soon but I think I can see the seeds already growing.
