Problems with FFOF I'm done with them

If you look at my other problems / thread's LOL, I can only blame FFOF, problem's with this grow and the last one with 2 seperate bag's from a very clean and reliable grow store. Bug's, High PH , Nitrogen toxicity and what not. Very disappointed with this soil. I'm definitely switching brand's. Also their customer service on the west coast is a joke, they know nothing at all and are very rude. They can F off. Sorry to be so blunt and inmature but I've had it.

I'm thinking of getting some cheap sterilized soil and adding compost and nutes to it, and this comes from the advice of a couple that run's a very successful nursery in town. Just sayin.

image.jpeg If ya have a Home Depot near by, this stuff is kill. I stopped using FFOF because this is basically the same stuff for $6.50 1cuft bag. Damn OF is $20+ for 1.5 curt bag. I have used this Promix for super soil, and now use General Organics line in it and will never look back..

I've been using FFOF for 6 years. It works for me. I go from paper towel straight to FFOF.

Maybe the two bags you got from the same place was a bad batch from FFOF. Who knows. GL with whatever you end up using.
Do you use amendments? What about nutes during the grow?

FFOF works well for me. I use it until my plants grow out of a half gallon pot, then I use promix HP or gritty kitty (promix HP, coco coir & calcined clay).

I haven't used ff but most say its great stuff. Cannabis will grow in just about anything and any environment. Including the dreaded miracle grow.

I would say user error.

I would say just build your own store.

I buy a local generic organic for less than two bucks a bag. The money I save I buy amendments.

Your biggest thing would be look into vermicompost. You get worm castings and compost.

Get the book "Worms Eat my Garbage.". You can setup a worm bin even in an apartment.

You could keep using ff just add a little lime for pH and DE for bugs.

I'm roughly 8 weeks into my grow from seed, was wondering if a few drops of big bloom and some mollasses will hurt anything ?

I've purchased quite a few different kinds of soil over the years and found there can be bugs in some of the best brands of soil mix. Now I take a real close look at each bag of soil before using it. Too often I've had to cook the bugs out before using soil... The last bags I got are an organic mix from FF and the soil is a real nice mix and no bugs so far in using the first bag - The only problem with that soil is it's super expensive! Ace Hardware sold the bags for 20 dollars a piece!
