Hey guys,
I'm having some problema choosing the lights for my SuperSkunk , they are acusing little light so ive decided to buy grow lights. I saw some metal halide lamp at the common store but they are not expensive so i dont now if they are ok to grow. The lamp comes inside a projector and is 400w , 8850 LM (lumen i think) and it as a label saying ECO halogen energy safe. Thanks guys

Doesn't sound too good unless you are growing in a small space. The lumen output of a 400 w bulb should be closer to 20,000.

DDon't use halogens haha. Something your going to have to keep in mind is how much heat you'll be able to handle. A non cooled 400watt hid can easily raise a small area over 100 Fahrenheit very quickly.
Give us some more specific.info on what your environment is.

If your just growing a single plant a 250w mh.will do fine. My first real indoor grow was 2 plants under a 250 mh and it did real well all the way through. The 315 cmh is a better choice than a 250 and 150 mh IMO (speculation I haven't used cmh). I think a 400w mh would do better than that combo too though.
