400 watt 10 inches away... should not cause stretching at all and nutes, I beleive, have no impact on this behavior. I have heard that stress can cause a plant to stretch like crazy. You may want to look into that. Otherwise it's an indica dominant strain and should be shorter and bushier, if it was sativa... well even then that couldn't explain that kinda stretch, even in flowering. Good luck on figuring your issue out ~ BCbuddy

yeah my other plant is nice and bushy i FIMed her though but she stayed short and stocky and this one just took off. Ill look in to stress but dont really no of any temps are between 72-84f dont have a RH gauge but i live in a pretty dry climate probably around 30%

My plants stretched just like yours when I switched to 12/12 after about 2 weeks they stop growing and start filling out... Or at least mine did. Hope this helps.

watch it to see if its male they tend to want to stretch up above the females bushes.
At least in my experience it usualy true.

hmmm---I cannot tell if those are female for sure from here---they should be a bit hairier. I attached some pics most are titled. If that is a Female I think you are right, way to much stretch---that is usually caused by a big swing in temp More the 10 degrees.
So 85 at day and 65 at night---to much (So stretch) Per the MMJ G, Bible. Usual causes for stretch.
Nutes Burn and destroy, water drowns or leeches poison, Heat will make it cup and stretch and like when or if you mist your plants in the high heat/sun again water and heat Damage destroys phote cells. FYI.
oops pic 11 is a Female in begin Flower where you should be pic 4 is a Male/Hermie went full cycle for pollen.

All plants stretch the first 10-14 days into flower some more than others. Its the plants last ditch effort to grow. You can make them not stretch as much by using a metal halide for the first 2 weeks or use bushmaster but that sh*t will burn the hell out of your plants if your not careful so i dont recommend it.

so do you think that ill see a reduced yield or do you think it doesnt really matter im worrried about the lower branches growing too fast and not being strong enough or growing in to the lights at the rate there growing

and cali i guess it could be a temp swing there was one day like a week ago temps dropped to about 65 but only for a couple hours i have a heater in there that i turn on on cold nights do you think that would but enough of a swing to send them in to this kind of stretching still

otherwise it could be normal or genetic either way i still love her :) :)

well once you get into heavy flowering the plants vertical growth will slow considerably and if the plant(s) cant hold it weight its almost good thing that mean more bud lol but yeah you will most likely need to stake the branches up they do look a little leggy.
