Has anyone used pro-mix to grow before. I have alot of expeierence in soil growing, but none in soiless mixes. Can pro-mix be used alone to grow? Help would be appreciated.

yes it can be used alone to grow, its a great medium in my opinion, its like soil but you have to water/feed more.

i am using sunshine mix number right now by itself. no nutes to start so it is a 0-0-0. good for sprouting seeds also. but you will need to start feeding almost right away with pro mixes. if you live in an area where light warrior of fox farm is reasonably priced i would suggest that. like sunshine number 4 it is 0-0-0, Incorporating mycorrhizae fungi and other biological catalysts, Light Warrior is designed to enhance root development and encourage greater nutrient uptake. An organic blend of perlite and peat moss, it's suitable for both soil and hydroponic gardening. sunshine in my neck of the woods is 30$usd/ 3.1 cuft while light warrior is 8.50$usd per 1 cuft bag,, i get the LW every time unless they are out and i am in a bind.
