I currently am lighting at 24 hours a day i have plants from 2-6 weeks old i just wanna know the pros and cons of each lighting cycle thanx
pro and cons of 18/24 light cycles?

I would have the lights on there 24/0. That's how they will grow the best I read a thread awhile back and it was about which is better 24/0 or 18/6. As its still a preference to the grower, its seemed that 24/0 had the advantage of a lot more "growing" time. Allowing the plants to be "done" a few weeks earlier to switch to 12/12 than if they were on 18/6. Any lights on over 12 hours should not begin to flower unless growing an auto flower strain, the off time is for root development. So if you are cloning or wanting root growth you should switch to 18/6. Otherwise I would keep'em on! Good luck!

you get better root growth with a dark period and a better root system makes a helthier better plant
having 24 hr light gets good top growth but not as good root growth so while it looks like its doin good on 24hr its just an illusion

Did you read anything about an illusion? I stated it was done! The crop was done before the others that were on 18/6 thats no illusion...

whatever man you said it yourself if your looking for root growth go 18/6 and root growth is key to healthy plants....
its grower preferance like you said

i was wondering why roots were spinley and the plant was a monster. plant looked real good but after harvest i checked the roots and she had roots but not to many. it was a clone.

like it was stated its grower preferance but also the plant will be less likly to have any problems and have much better nutriant uptake and everything the roots supply the plant will be greatly increasd for the simple fact that there are more roots to suck up oxygen and nutriants and water just better all around ,you may grow it a week or 2 quicker going 24\0 but you will gain more by letting the plants rest and build a good structure
think about it roots are essential they feed the plant so you want all you can get
you may even get a heavier harvest with a bigger root system
more roots= more gooder
