it means that pariticuliar trich is well beyond the peak potency, it is normal for you to have many trichomes like this at harvest, the point is that you want all of them nearest the peak thc potency as possible, here is a good article on cannabis maturation: http://www.kindgreenbuds.com/marijuana-grow-guide/cannabis_maturation_harvesting.html

milky means its almost there...Opaque white or pink or amber means it is there...Clear means it hasnt got there yet and is still producing...The glands are filling up and no longer continue to produce...

In the end It is a matter of personal preference..trichomes is the last thing you look at because your trichomes go in phases and this is only what you look at after the rest of the plant has matured. A trichome that is milky or amber at week 5 could become clear on week 6 - you can even have amber in very early flowering.

important to keep in mind some strains will NEVER turn amber untill well beyond peak potency, common misconception here, it is my belief that amber is not really an important factor and I shoot for OPAQUE white/amber/pink - I avoid clear at all cost only allowing for 1% or so- and I go for minimal milky or see-thru amber. I find % of amber to be largely irrelevant when talking about all cannabis because that's entirely strain dependent, but again it depends on your preference largely, what do you like? Experiment with your own strains and see for yourself. I feel it is impossible to make a rule that would apply to every grow based on % of amber.

Nice to see we finally agree on something deprave! Good advise.

Hey common now hic I think we would agree on a lot of things, sorry I misinterpret your post or intentions when you first started coming on here but I have really come to understand you and respect you and I value your opinion and I also admire your outlook on things. To those who give their patients free meds and sell the overages on the black market....Good luck...and I hope you don't get caught! Who would want that mexican brick weed brought in via cartel and/or sold by gangs when you could aquire much higher quality nuggs from a local medical grower? The way I see it is the more Medical Grade making it to the streets...the less the cartels make...and that's a good thing!

good thought but I think a lot of the street weed(commercial) around here is actually from local Michiganders guriella growing outdoors who sell it to the street dealers..I kind of doubt we see much if any imported mj - in flint at least - I doubt its worth it to import or smuggle especially compared to cocaine or heroin but your right the medical laws have probably had some influence in making it even less profitable - I havent seen any brick weed around here since 1999 - if any is coming through the state it probably heads right out to the east coast straight thru, I am probably wrong about this though as its just my observation in my circle of people

Heres a couple facts for ya, 1 this is a forum and more than half the shit on here arent facts but personal opinions and 2 you can kiss my ass:finger: why would your pt want his plants back in the first place? my cg would have to be doing a pretty shitty job on em for me to ask for them

yes this is a forum for our opinions however if you go back and look you STATED IT AS FACT, other people read that and repeat it. see where that leads?

They are the patients plants but totally get what your saying...

The patients give up the right to grow plants when they sign on a caregiver. They don't get to pull the plants out of your garden and go on their merry way. If I lost a patient I would try to line another one up asap or just chop the plants with tears in my eyes.

you should ask them to sign something stating they must give you thirty day notice before initiating a cg change. it takes some time to go through., this way if the situation ever comes up then you just finish up 12 plants and re-evaluate the situation.

Who's plants are they ?

You, or your designated primary caregiver, may grow your marihuana. (mdch)
http://www.michigan.gov/mdch/0,1607,7-132-27417_51869_52137---,00.html

But more importaintly, why would anyone "have this much of a problem" with how other people address the ownership of said plants ?

I'll tell you what, if I was paying $9,000 to $10,000 a month for eltc, I'd be to busy moving, installing a solar set up or a power generator to have any time left over to worry about or be offeneded by who says who's plants are who's.

But no shit though!

$100/oz brick weed is still very much available in metro-detroit.

Caregiver prices :
The going rate around me is 2 free ounces a month and discounted meds after that. Usually ranging from $200 to $300 an ounce for anything over your 2 free a month.

---> If your not happy with the offers people are giving you. You can always opt to grow your own.

Another fine example, Just because your cost is so much doesnt mean others are the same, extreme example but I just want to get the point across: what If I used 48 lights and grew 1 plant under each scrog, ...Not that it would take that much to get that high of an electric bill because the more electricity you use the more they charge you in my area its not linear progression.

more practical example: 8 bedroom house with 6 people living there and a 4 light flower room with 1 light veg room, all electric appliances in the house many computers and other electronic devices, easily going to net you 4 digits while being a perfectly legal grow. It does depend on where you live also (another variable)
If you had 48 different lights with 1 plant under each doing a scrog you are ILLEGAL. There is no possible way you can even come close to staying under your limit of 2.5 oz per patient with that set up. You are being so disingenuous with that example that I shouldn't even bother responding.

As for your second example:

1. I don't care how many bedrooms you got. I suggest you get your 5 roommates to chip in on the bill. Irrelevant to the discussion as their electrical usage has NOTHING to do with your grow. Going from an $800/mo pre-grow bill to $1,000/mo post-grow utility bill does not qualify as a "4 digit bill".
2. I could theoretically get a $10,000 electric bill if I just plugged a bunch of air conditioners to every circuit I have and ran them full blast. But what bearing does that have on my ACTUAL electrical usage for a grow? None.
3. a 4 light grow + 1 light veg room will not get you over $1,000/mo even with tiered billing. It simply won't . I understand how electricity works. I also understand how math works.

Lets say you did have 4 1,000 watt hps lights going. and 1 1,000 watt MH for veg. fuck it, lets say you run them all 24/7 for no real reason. That's 5,000 watts X 24 hr/day = 120 kwhr/day. Times 30 days = 3,600 kwhr for the month. I pay on average 12.6 cents/kwhr total including all fees. Ill be generous and double that and say you pay 25.2 cents/kwhr (which you don't. you pay less).

3,600 kwhr X 25.2 cents/kwhr = $907.20

I didn't include any fans or pumps you have, but I also counted all lights as running 24/7 AND doubled what I pay for electricity and it is STILL under $1,000.

I think you are either a liar or are getting ripped off for electricity BIG TIME.

my bill is under a hundred pre grow and with two 1k lights and a 400 t5 plus fans and a/c its almost 500. winter is closer to 300. so just the grow is roughly 400 a month in the summer and about 250 in the winter.

well for one yes I am getting ripped off because i enter a new 'tier' due to my high electricity use and my bills is indeed 4 digits, however, it is barely into 4 digits, so perhaps I am guilty of exaggeration by claiming you could get near 5 digits, however it does seem plausible if you did a coop grow with many people - All of the shit I run and number of people and rooms does matter because you enter in to a new tier of electricity here and they charge you more then double so if you have tons of computers, devices, appliances in a private residence they rip you a new one - so it does matter because it directly effects what you pay in electricity for the grow.

FYI - I do understand what your saying though and perhaps I should of worded it differently- I only run 3 lights with 48 plants (including clones) and my electric bill is over 1k with 2 digital ballast and 1 magnetic - this adds only about 480$ to the bill after the addition of the grow room but it should of only been 200$ if not for entering a new tier - so due to entering the new tier it also increased the bill itself by a lot more than double....so just over double my old bill which was already near 4 digits - the old bill + 480$ from just adding a grow room ...think about that and you can see how someone can easily approach 5 digits and still be legal, I'd Imagine if I had 20+ lights or something id be there in a jippy. This goes back to the reason I made this post - not everyones situation is the same.

i love when people factor in all the elements of growing except for the labor, facility rental, insurance, transportation costs, lunches, etc that would be involved in running any other kind of business... also, it is not exactly a low risk thing, higher risk has always been correlated with higher reward. no patient will be running the risk of getting their equipment destroyed, family dog shot by police, or any of the other bad things that could happen. they are happy to grab their meds and gtfo. i have yet to have a patient complain about any arrangement we have made.

id say hes pretty badass he gets 4.45 to 7 grams a watt, dont think even whatshisface gets that - the hydro guy with the critical mass 10,000 Watt vertical stadiums
