Prepping for grow next year here in eastern Kentucky

It's really hilly around here with plenty of dense brush, briars, strips mines, hollers, and etc. I was thinking a couple clones here and there on a hillside somewhere, because pork choppers do fly around before harvest season.. ick. anyways i'm not very experienced (1 prior grow/unsuccessful.) i want them to be as undetectable as possible... can anybody share some wisdom?

...I would reconsider the location. The Appalachian mountain range is notorious for gorilla farming, that's why you see sooooooo many choppers during harvest season. I have family downthere, and noway would I attempt growing outdoors in east KY. I know people that have, but....you'll have to keep the plants to small numbers....they will find a patch of many plants (odds are)....one plant here, one plant there may not be that obvious....maybe clip fake flowers onto them to throw the choppers off....keep the plants small would be another good idea. The choppers love to examine any trails, creeks, growing corn for gorilla farming....be careful, and good luck.

dude... they dont have the man power to shut everyone down...

dont put it where its easy man... they think like this:

Large Crop size + (Low Workload)= Success For Police (Make the news and make money for the PD)
Small Crop size + (High Workload)= Fly Over (HARVEST for the grower)

So as stated above.

KEEP PLOTS SMALL
KEEP TRAILS MINIMAL
KEEP MOUTHS SHUT

KEEP YOUR SMOKE TO YOURSELF

shew... tell me about it... the helicopters are like birds around here during harvest time... btw i've heard many times that they use infrared cameras to pick up pot plants... is that true? -thanks

Well im near the area {by a state or two haha} but i understand cops fly hard around here twice in a season {once in mid season than right before harvest season } yes they do use infared cameras to pick up pot plants but its made for picking out large patches putting off the heat signature. from my experience i usaully stick them near thick patches of pine trees {if available in your area} if not use large brair bushes and only put one plant per bush both these plants put of a similar signature and adequate cover and keeps larger animals {humans are animals} away from your shit {naturaul fencing lol} also do you plant in ground or in containers ?

i stick em in the ground, i've got a few places prepped so far with manure and potting soil replacing the dirt.... i even thought a bout digging up some briars and transplanting them around the plots.. i think it ought to work

Cannabis does not have a unique heat signature, that is a myth. They read around -2 ambient temp if they are healthy, just like almost all other plants. Virtually all spotting is done visually, the IR is usually only used to bust indoor grows and even that is very rare.
