It is a bad deal that he did not win an appeal as time went on, unless there were deaths associated with the sumgling I think this is just flat out crap. The Gov hates being shown up or shit hitting the news that makes them look bad.

Suprised they just dont tell the Po to drop the shit and go spend his time finding some kiddy rapist or something that would help the comunity.

Total waste of time.

A person could of been convicted of murder and would have been out of prison before Mr. Platshorn. Or convicted of rape. Or stealing billions from the public..., wait a sec that's OK to do :cuss:. I just never realized till this moment that I'm not only a criminal to the establishment, but a political dissident and agitator to their shite government as well.

Jesus those Federats are scary psycho fuckers. Then again they probably persecute Mr. Platshorn, and others, just so they can say they created some new jobs or for budgetary reasons, (they gotta spend their department's money or they lose that money the next year, right?) or whatever it is those monsters do. You know they don't give a flying fuck about the man, except for what he says it seems, so why not use him for their means.

The whole Judicial and Prison system in this country is beyond ludicrous. I also read Robert's story and was amazed that he has a document from the U.S. Parole Commission that clearly states "By this action you are no longer under the jurisdiction of the U.S. Parole Commission." "Despite this, a new parole officer showed up at my door, demanded I take a urine test, and ordered me not to leave the district, cancel speaking and book signings, and ordered me not to associate with Irvin Rosenfeld".

He obviously needs some major media air time on TV, this story needs to be shouted from the rooftops. Wonder if we can get his name trending in Twitter to bring awareness to his story? This week, everyday at 4:20 I challenge EVERYONE to start a Twitter trend with the words "Black Tuna Diaries" or "Free Robert Platshorn!" Just do it.

In my considered opinion, this would be an overreaction. cn

Im with poly on this one; after the staged demolition of the world trade centers, the US gov has gone heywire. We, the people, are on the edge of a total collapse of democracy. All that matters now is which politician has the most corporate cash to win over the sheeple with tv ads. The will of the people doesnt matter anymore, MJ is a blunt example of how the gov continues to tell ~50% of its population to buzz off. Im disgusted at how this country is ran. Spare the innocent but we really do need to nuke the 1% at a bilderburg/g-20 summit...lol, and give the gov back to the people. Just wait till the gov rolls out carbon taxes, hopefully ill be in central america watching this country implode into chaos. Beware of REX 84.

have you ever been locked away like an animal? overreaction, no, i say this vehemently, THEY( American government) DESERVE TO BE PUNISHED FOR THEIR CRIMES AGAINST HUMANITY! with shit like this how can we even call ourselves better than the Nazis, thats something they would do, thats a militaristic punishment, to lock a man away and forget about him for 30 years! its truely sad and it really does make me want to cry. ive been locked away unjustly b4 and i would have gone crazy had it been longer than 2 years, i fact i think it did make me a little crazy.

For real though this is fucked up. The man just spent 30 years in prison for cannabis, he's not hurting anybody or breaking any laws by doing this why do the feds even care? Fuck them...

I have seen dudes in county get statutory rape and get only 18 months in prison. but a guy got caught with 200 p's of cannabis and they tried to give him a DEAL for 27 YEARS. And the poor guy is already 49.

it goes a lot further than whats morally right when they prosecute these people, no big companies endorsed the prohibition of statutory rape and since they had part in the laws set by the drug war and caused by reefer madness they made its a huge deal to grow something native that grows like a weed but it replaces pain medicine and many other harmful medications for ailments and diseases(its the only known cure for cancer, but obviously our government doesnt want to cure it for economic reasons). why pharmaceutical companies shouldnt have say in anything in the government no matter how much they "donate", so they cant make ridiculous laws to force people who commit petty crimes to "learn their lesson" while rapists go back on the street and take a fraction of the time to get out. who looks more harmful, a rapist whos been pent up for a year and a half or a person who grows something natural and non harmful, but, said plant keeps them coming back to a producer once they learn to cultivate it, making them self dependent. thats why alcohol, cigarettes and horrible drugs are legal, because they know they'll kill people and end up making money off the hospital bills and the taxes they put on it, its all a big game to them.

governments learn by making mistakes. this was one of them. i can tell some of you are young........lol. moral outrage.........*sigh* i miss it;)
stay un-jaded as long as possible

No way that's a mistake Scrog, not in my book at least. Not in this day and age. The U.S. government's corporate masters and certain $pecial interest groups tell the justice system to do things like this to people in order to feed the machine. His story is sadly a product of our times. And no morals here sir, just long simmering outrage ;).

Normally I'm a pretty calm person, but this makes me angry as hell.
Take most of someone's life away for bringing a bunch of plants across an imaginary line. Then once they've done their time in prison, tell them that they can't even have their right to free speech, or to associate with the people of their choosing.

Meanwhile we got boys getting hit with armed robbery and attempted murder charges and only spending 5-10 years in prison. SMH.

That "secret weapon" would be none other than all of the lazy ass apathetic stoners out there who need to get up off their damn couches and go vote!
If I follow that logic into the proffered dark alley, meth would be legal. Or maybe coke ... now there's a drug with a voting clientèle.

Fwiw ... in my earlier comment, I was indeed restricting myself to the bolded.) cn
