Preflowers looking like buds

Hey! I have a odd thing happening to my plant. It a Big Bud strain and the mother plant is about 3 years old now. I have seen preflowers on it before from being mature but this past couple of months my clones and my mother have been developing huge preflowers. That look like popcorn buds all over it. It has white and red pistols on it to. I have never seen this before and would like to know what everyone thinks. The mother has always been on 24/7 light and I am using a 400watt MH. She has never been flowered. And the cuttings are under floros. I haven’t changed nutrients and everything is climate controlled in the room.
Can anyone tell me anything about this? Thanks!

Pictures would help.
Not sure what it is you have but I have had plants where instead of just be a pair of calyx's on the trunk a few leaves and small buds would form.
I'm sure with pics someone has seen it before.

I've definitely had old mother plants have preflowers that got more developed. Usually it made it slower for the clones taken from it to veg properly. So when it happened I would replace the mother with a good clone, and the new mother always grew out of it.

It's been 5 months since the thread was started so I don't expect we are gonna get any pics. Sad because I was curious to see what he is describing.
