Preflowers already. Clone or no?

I have a 45-50 day old new york city diesel plant i was planning on using as a mother... shes definitely a mom (showing hairs) but is it now too late to clone? the lights are on 18/6 so should i switch her over to flower or keep vegging and start cloning?

you should be fine. I prefer newer growth that doesn't show pre flowers, but will take what I have if I need a lot. As long as you're not actually flowerering, it's safe to clone. I just took clones before I flipped. Everyone had preflowers. All my clones are kickin it.

Ok thanks. Its a pretty short plant so i was hoping i wouldnt have to take clones juuuuuuuuuust yet
