Praying Mantis to Watch My Crops

Yeah I think they might eat the lady bugs. I hear the mantids eat everything, good bugs and bad bugs. Most of my lady bugs bounced after I released them. They stayed over night, and were there until the next afternoon. Now I see about 20 a day max in the whole garden. I did use a VERY SMELLY fish/seaweed fertilizer the next morning and coincidentally the ladies left, but I don't know the real reason. Probably like most say, they just do lol. Next time I might try doing what someone suggested to me once which was spraying the bugs down with a 20 part water to 1 part soda pop to make the wings stick together so they can't fly away. I hear it wears off in about 4-5 days so at that point they've done a lot of damage and are probably very comfortable to their new surroundings.
