What type of nuts are you using? What is your ppms factory PPM setting calibrated at?

well it depends on my plants i have some in coco some in hydro and there all at different stages

since i got it new i didnt think i had to calibrate it ..... guess thats my problems then ..... gotta go buy some soliution to calibrate it

It should come pre calibrated. If its made for hydro plant growing then it will be clibrated around 1200 ppm but if its clibrated for drinking water then it will be cali at 100 or so. This will make it more accurate. Dont ask me why or how this works because i dont know. This is just what i heard from the tech support for my ppm meter.

Assuming that it is calibrated correctly I would half to tell you to measure your stuff by the teaspoon and not ml. I usually put 1 tsp or tbl in per one gallon of water. Sometimes i put two or three ferts in the water and thats when it brings my ppm way up.

Check this chart out for foxfarm.

stick your ppm meter in your nutes and see what if it reads very low... How many gallons of water are you using?

stick your meter into your nutes and see if it reads 1000 or so.. that will tell ya if ur ppm meter is working.. i think your problem is that u just didnt put enough nutes into your water.

well i just tried my lowest possible reading to check the metter

used
1 gallon distilled water
nutes a/b 1.5 ml
ec should be 1.2

i got a ec of 1.1
a ppm of 061

so it looks good on the ec ......but ppm is so low i heard someone say they have to x10 there ppm to get the actualy reading......not sure its thats what i have to do, the meter instructions dont say anything about that.

thanks for all your help man wish i cold give you more rep

ill be looking out for your threads

the x10 on my ppm reading only applies when my ppm hits 1000 or more. It will simply round 1190 to "119 x 10" ... dont worry about this..

1 Milliliter = 0.20288502506 Teaspoons (US)

that means you are using way to few of the nutes bro ... stick 3 - 6 times that in a gallon which should bring your ppm up to 180 - 360 .. but take a ppm readin each and everytime you put some nutes in.. its easy to go over board
