I twisted the green and blakc wire. the fan works 1-2 seconds.
But thats it. how can i gett the power supply box to keep giving energy? not just 1-2 secs?

personally i would just rip the power supply out and rig the fan to a phone charger.

there should be three wires with the fan. a black read and yellow sometimes green etc. all you need is the positive and negative. black and red. disregard the third wire. just tape the end. tht should do the trick

dnt tie in the green to the black just tape over it it should be fine. and its possible to tie the lights in but you have a big possibilty of blowing the power supply. you might be best haveing two chords comming out. but like i said, do not twist the green in. just have a ground and positive. be careful not to short anything so insult your wires well.

on twist the green. and tape the end so tht the green does not touch anything else. green no wired in at all. only have your pwer and ground tht is all you need

thier should be three wires comming out of your fan right? the red green and black. you only need to have the ground and positive wired up. the best way to find out which are the correct wires is touch the ends to a 9v batter. it will turn the fan on tht is how my pox is powered while i am building my own pc grow box.

yes but im saying my fan works fine. The fan is not the issue. its the actual box. like the supply box itself wont maintain power. and the fan has a yellow, red, and black wire. im not using the white wire. its useless.
EDIT: the thing in the picture is NOT from the fan. its from the main power, to power the whole Box

i had a pc grow box a long time ago. and al i did was twist the green and black . ERRR was not cheap lol. i JUST had it on for like 2 minutes! awsme lol. but then it went away :(

hmmm... its a late reply, but i think i know what your issue is. Your pc fan's resistance is too low to keep the PSU on. 2 solutions that I know of are:

1) Use a fan with a higher amp rating
2) Connect an old cd drive/zipdrive/floppy drive to ur psu, it should stay on once the green and black wires are connected
