Power si original in flower

Is running the original formula in flower fine? They have a flower product now and its just some monosilic acid plus some aminos from what I've seen. There is less silica in it though. Is the original formula too much silica for flower? Is there side effects from running monosilic acid all through flower?

The power si bloom has potassium hydroxide. I run this would I have to use drip clean? i use drip clean to keep lines clean and medium too. Would this be overkill if I use both of them?

I have read that using power si can eliminate some stretch at the beginning of flower. Has anyone had experience with this? If so is there a higher dosage to use or just use the regular 0.5 ml/gal

I switch to bloom during flower, bloom has some other goodies in it to increase trichome production as far as I am aware..

Original: Urea, Phosphoric Acid, Potassium Silicate, Sodium Molybdate.
Bloom: Urea, Phosphoric Acid, Potassium Silicate, Seaweed Extract (Ascophyllum Nodosum) and Potassium Hydroxide (extractant), Zinc Sulfate, Boric Acid.

I have seen the claim to lower stretch, I did not notice a big difference using psi/psi bloom at recommended dosages in soil. I did see thicker stems and a huge increase in trichome production. I am just starting to sample some of my current harvest (first with psi) and the taste of the sample buds is big time flavor increase..

I can say I thought I would be tossing both as I tend to be skeptical about all the liquid magic brands come up with but psi earned itself a place in my grow.. I may even try lush (when my current kelp is used up) or some of their other products launching soon

Thank you for the detailed reply. Did you switch to bloom as soon as you flipped or did you use the original up until stretch? Also what do you know about the lush product? I know it's a seaweed product but is that it?

I usually stay on veg nutes until about two weeks into 12/12 or when I notice stretch is nearly over. Once that happens I switch to psi bloom

as far as lush psi say; "Seaweed Extract (ascophyllum nodosum) and Potassium Hydroxide*, Soy Protein Hydrolysate *(as extractant) ". So it looks like nothing special, my only thought is it may be more available to the plants but I may just be selling myself on something I don't need. Greenleaf Nutrients sea-k, what I currently use, is very good

I don’t use it in my rez because I try to keep it sterile But I do use it in veg and the first 3 weeks of flower as a foliar spray. I use 10 ml per gallon and it definitely helps with the stretch
