potting size for small area

hello mates...i am growing in a closet that is about 5ft. wide 4ft. high and 1.5ft. deep...i have 5 seedlings growing untill i see how many is gonna be female then i plan to ditch the males...untill i can tell how many is gonna be female,how big of a pot should i use when i transplant my seedlings...which wont be for another 2 weeks or so....if anyone could chime in and help me out with this i wld appreciate it +repo to whoever can help. peace mates.

Well... You could keep the rep, but I've noticed that if you try and stay away from repotting, your plants are subjected to stress as much, and fully enhance there overall yield. I use 3gallon pots for about 2/3 weeks of veg. More is better when it comes to pot size

no you're a fruit. Hahaha

Really pot size wont matter. Bigger is better. If you want to keep your plants small just veg for less time or train them low and pushy. You could even look into scrogs, thatll keep everything low and even. Also, if your growing sativa strains, expect a massive stretch. Opt for indica if you can.

If you plan on keeping a plant 3 months you should use a 3-gallon pot.

One big container the size of you cabinet, all in the same container is how you will get the best yield

well they are in sole cups rite now and i def dont wanna keep them in the cups...do you think a 8 in pot would be big enough cuz im doin 12/12 from seed so they have very little veg time at all....and i am using bagseed...they were stretching at first bcuz i didnt have the light close enough but now that i moved them closer they arent stretching at all..they are actually doing really good...thanks for the input to all of you i do appreciate it alot.

8" tall and around? I've seen people do 12/12 from clone in party cups.... It can be done... What I did was take a clear cup and put it in the red party cup, so I could keep an eye on the root system without damaging them

i should have done that but didnt think of doing so till they way already planted...ha thats how my mind usually work but yeah ill probly try an 8 incher and see how this grow goes with that

That seems like a real good idea, as long as you make sure your drainage holes in the clear cup don't accidentally get blocked off by the outer cup.

From the description of size, if it was me, I would think 8" pots, then to a final 3 gal. would be large enough if you're doing 12/12 from seed, and still give you room in there to walk around.

Well the clear cup isn't the same height, just the width, so put soil/perlite at the bottom of the party cup, and put the clear cup on top of the soil. Drainage goes in soil/perlite, then out the party cup

rite on bro...ima go to 8 inch next week then probly top at least a 2 gallon in about a month if they dont like the 8 inch...and as far as a grow journa...only been on riu for about 3 weeks and not good with computers lol havent got that far yet with pics and shit,,,im gettin there though lol...soory if shit is mis spelled...very fucked up rite now...
