Alright so my question is whats the best pot size for my auto ak47s. I was thinking 2 gallons is this fine?

The proper pot size is determined by the space you grow in and how big you can grow the plant. 2 gal is good for 2.5-3' tall plants.

Depends how long they will be in the pot for. And if they are from clone or seed.

From seed I veg for 4-6 weeks and I dont go any bigger than 9 litre pots. Im pretty sure a gallon is 4.5 litres so 2 gallon pots would be cushdy.

your fine....like someone said, it matters what youre growing under and how much space youre working with but if you got a autoflowering plant im guess that youre strapped for space...you should be fine with a 2G

The smaller the pots relative to plant size, the more you have to be careful with watering and nutes. I think 2gl is on the small side, but it should be OK. My own rubric is 1gl per foot height.

Ya i'm planning on growing outside and have a lot of space. I think that the lowlife autoflowers only get to be about 1 to 2 feet?

The imperial gallon is 4.546L whilst the US gallon is 3.785L. The general rule of thumb of 1 foot of height per gallon I think refers to the US gallon. Not sure about that though.
Thanks for the clarification dude!

Oh and to the original poster, I go with 2 gallon pots/9 litres for Lowrider 2 indoor under a 600w hps.
Auto AK's get a little bigger, especially outside. I would go for 3-4 Gallon pots.

thanks for the tips you guys, and I think I am going to go with the 3 gallon to be on the safer side. The only reason I ask is because I am on a 200 dollar budget and I got 10 auto ak47 seeds and I am planning on putting a male and a female together and getting more seeds. My next question is if I do put a male and a female together, around how much seeds should I get?

More than you can shake a stick at. It may be worth considering keeping the male separate and then, using a paint brush, brushing pollen only to the lower branches of your plants. That way you can keep the main cola seed free and potent. lower branches generally only produce popcorn buds which aren't, relatively speaking, worthwhile.

Be warned though those auto AK47s are F1 hybrids so their progeny, F2, will lose some of their hybrid vigor. Still produce perfectly smokable strains but they won't be as good as your first batch of seeds. Sadly autos don't lend themselves to cloning at all, so you have little choice really.

buddha lover whats that site. So if I do this the seeds wont be as potent, as my first batch? So what if I just toke one male of the first lowryder and a female durban poison which I also got would that work good?

I imagine it would at that, as would any two parents from a true breeding lines.

edit: I couldn't say about potency but they certainly wouldn't grow as quickly or the yield be so high.

another idea for pots are these lil square trashcans i bought at walmart. theyre more or less 1 gallon but work great at conserving space. i have a small space about 4 by 5 feet and i found it a hell of alot easier to fit the square trashcans vs round pots. just cut a hole in the bottom and put a screen over the whole and tada...
