Potent Hash Oil *Without* Poisonous Butane >8D

Hello my fellow community members. I have decided to create my first tutorial, so if there are things I'm missing I apologize.

So if you are following my other recent posts, Butane is infact poisonous. Well, not exactly. The canning process of the butane inevitably adds a toxic chemical into the can that is unavoidable with butane. Even with 20x refined butane, you will still have the same amount of toxins within the can. So we use Alcohol. If you go to the store, and you buy the cheap 70% Isopropyl rubbing alcohol, (yes, the cheap stuff with the water in it.) Then pour your alcohol into a jar with sodium chloride, (Table salt) and add more than enough to saturate the water so no more will dissolve into the water. Salt will not dissolve in Alcohol, so the salt will bind with the water, and become heavier than the alcohol. Let the salt water and everything become still and all the salt water falls to the bottom of the jar. Then you can siphon or use a turkey baster to get the liquid from the top and you will now have 100% Isopropyl alcohol, AKA Dehydrated Isopropyl. This will pull less polar molecules when you do your initial soak in buds or trim or shake, or hey, sometimes even kiff because this now has no water. just be careful not to pull any saline (fully saturated salt water) in when removing the alcohol off the top.

Now that you have your pure Isopropyl, you need to make saline. get hot water (NOT BOILING!!!) and pour as much salt in as you want, but you need to have a good thick layer of salt at the bottom of the jar. then close the lid and SHAKE, SHAKE, SHAKE! now, let the jar settle so everything is solid would fall to the bottom.

Now you have a jar of saline, and a jar or 100% Dehydrated Isopropyl alcohol, you need your herb!!

Put your buds ground smaller than joint rolling size into a jar, and then pour enough alcohol in until it comes a little bit over the herb. then put the lid on and shake! you want to soak it in the jar for about a minute. then, pour your material in a ziplock bag, and get a coffee filter ready fastened on top of a jar. take the ziplock bag, and puncture the corner so you can drain the liquid out of the bag into the coffee filter and this enables you to squeeze the material in the bag to get more alcohol out.

After it all goes through the coffee filter, you have a dark green liquid. pour this into a gallon ziplock bag, hung by one corner so liquid will collect in one corner. pour your Green Alcohol into this bag hanging from its corner, and then add half that amount in saline. seal the bag, and shake! you will see the salt water discolor. There is all sorts of things that will fall into this saline out of the alcohol that you want out.

Essentially, your giving your green alcohol a little micro scrub. =P Then puncture a small hole in the bottom, drain out the salt water, pinch off, add more saline, and repeat until you have washed your Alcohol to your satisfaction. then when you are done washing it with saline, drain it into a pyrex dish and let it evaporate. Or to excel the evaporation process, i fashioned a mason jar lid onto a 'U' shaped copper pipe, that then falls down into a bin filled with ice water and the copper pipe coils in the ice water bin and then pokes through the bottom. I will attach a picture of the ziplock bag and the distiller i made. The mason jar is filled with the washed alcohol, the distiller is attached and put into a water bath. this heats up the alcohol and it begins to boil. this is where the magic happens. The alcohol evaporates, goes up through the tube and is forced through the tube that coils through the freezing cold water bath, this recondenses the alcohol vapors into liquid, and it drips into a collection bottle. this distills the alcohol only so i get it back in pure form. then you can make more green alcohol, wash it, distill it, and continue this process until you have the amount of oil you want. Some One I Met has a mason jar that is almost full of very potent hash oil.

I hope this will help someone out there... and I'm sorry this tutorial kind of sucks... =/

2 post on the same thing we will smoke bho if we want
I'm not telling you you can't.... lol

I'm simply attempting to educate those who care about the health of themselves and the health concerns related to Butane Hash.

Just the other day i was offered some butane wax dabs, and im not afraid of taking one hit and being poisoned, and i didn't want to be impolite, so i smoked it. I'm surely not going to offer it to my patients though.

hmmmm don't know if i prefer my concentrates ever being green. i try to never pull out chlorophyll, do you have anything against Hexane extractions?

Well, 650baquet, the way i see it, i would rather get the alcohol mixture nice and saturated (and green) and then just wash the majority of the green color out with the saline wash. But hey, if you guys are really interested in advanced oil techniques, take a look at my other link.

Any purchase of N-Hexane now puts you on an automatic watch list because of the common use of N-Hexane is the production of Methamphetamine.

This advanced method uses D-Limonene, a natural highly non-polar solvent that derives from oranges.

If the link i post at the bottom doesn't make sense let me know and ill explain it to you.

You know, if something goes awry with your connection of the copper tube to the mason jar, and you expose explosive alcoholic gas to an ignition source, you are gonna have an explosion on your hands. And it could be considered more than a bit reckless to show your crude drawing of a "still" without expressing the dangers involved in such a process, and the necessity for attention to detail whilst assembling said apparatus.

I see it as a darwinisum thing. If you don't know how to make a distiller that is not going to leak and is going to spit fire and fumes everywhere, WHAT THE FUCK ARE YOU DOING MAKING HASH OIL?! Leave it to people that are not going to put themselves and others in danger!

Out of interest, what is the unavoidable toxic chemical that means BHO is going to kill me?
I want to research it to find out if it's already too late for me.

You're an idiot, and you're gonna get other idiots hurt because they don't know what they're doing.

"Well, if they don't know better, they deserve to die"...You're not just an idiot, apparently you're also a fucking asshole.

Fucking M names, Stills outside for safety always. Does one or the other process legitimately create a better product ie more concentrated oil? Personal tastes etc aside med strength being the question. I figured distillation was more exact and entertaining a process. I also hate the keylime pie smell of damnit its on the tip of my tongue, that chemical created inevitably in the canning process.

Ethyl Mercaptan is a sulphur compound added to some fuel gases for leak detection. It smells and tastes like rotten eggs and for that reason is not added to lighter butane and most certainly is not an inevitable side effect of putting it in a can.

At a sensory detection level of 2.8 parts per billionth, (0.000,28 Parts per millionth), if they are present, there is little doubt and though BHO detractors continue to throw it out, it simply is not true. Anyone who says it is, is grossly misinformed, and clearly has never tried it themselves. It would be like saying that the rest of us are so numb and unobservant as to not notice a hard knee lift to the groin.

When it comes to scientific facts...i barely trust anyone lol, but all i read about mercaptans(thiols as i and my girlfriend are familiar with) is that they are used in very small ppm for odor detection, or they even occur naturally in decaying material and other places for sure. I'm just having a hard time believing it would be harmful in such low concentration. Plus we have yet to hear back from Marzfisch to know if this is what he's talking about.....
My girlfriend was going to school to become a pharmacist and me a chemical engineer, we both quite school to enjoy life with each other lol.......we both have some regrets for sure but there is no way we could both go to school full time and work and care about eachother, or our dogs, or our health, or our families, MY hobbies.........fuckin shitty trying to push through all of that and then having to give your whole summer away just so you can work and have more money for the school yr. We both said we would have stuck with it if there was somebody else helping motivate us...but both of our parents are very complacent and don't care about much as long as we are alive and well.
Right now it would be paying off if i had stuck with it and had possibly gone on to get a masters in materials processing, i wouldn't need to be asking any of these questions right now and would probably be making atleast $80k a yr if not atleast $100k with a masters. Then again, who fuckin knows man...

Sorry for the random blurt but it felt good to get off my chest this morning lol.

you should edit your original post to point out the dangers involved. To say it's natural selection if you fuck up, without giving any warnings whatsoever, is reckless and irresponsible.

Regarding butane - it is widely used in the FOOD INDUSTRY. Butane is used as an artificial anti-oxidant that they put it in chicken nuggets to keep them “fresh” tasting. So instead of your chicken nuggets being fresh, Butane keeps them “fresh." Butane is also found in frozen, packaged or pre-made processed foods with long shelf lives such as frozen meals, crackers, chips, cereal bars and fast food.

BHO is not stronger than Hashish, only the fact that you can burn any amount of it in a puff makes you think it is.
Try burning a quarter or half a gramme of good hashish on a coal under a dome and let me know how long it took you and/or how many people came to your help.
Don't get me wrong, I do believe that BHO and pure oil have medical value but if we are just talking about potency you are in the wrong.
Wrong and dangerous, that's a bad cocktail.
