Potency and Organics

The Church...She is a very full plant from early veg. I had to clean up so many thin stems all through veg and first 4-5 weeks of flowering. Took the whole FF line up with flying colors. Fed her on the heavy side every watering and she sucked it up. Stayed healthy all the way through.
Once in flowering she went straight frosted, no waiting. Buds everywhere and semi dense, but not airy at all. It was thick and sugar coated so much that I use all the sugar leafs for awesome butter. You can have mad kief from just trimming her over glass. I scraped my glass and piled the kief on a bowl of Kush. Tasted awesome.
The stone is kinda heavy, not couchlock, very enjoyable. Taste is ok, don't really remember, had many strains.
The yield was over 6 oz.
Fuckin A dude that made my day. That is some beautiful herb.

For hydro, I use the GH expert line which includes their synthetically derived nutrients and some trace elements. Included in their additives are natural compounds like fulvic acid and they have a vegan compost tea that my girls love. For dirt, I like Botanicare with their calmag, liquid karma, Hydroplex and sweet. You'll find organics and synthetics in both of these lines.

As far as teas and soil mixes go, I just didn't think they were worth the effort. I'd use bat guano, bone and blood meals, worm casings, fish meal, all that shiz. I stopped doing soil mixes with my peat-based sunshine mix #8 and started feeding a little more with the liquid ferts I mentioned above. I got bigger yields and my plants were healthier start to finish. The plants also responded better to the liquid ferts and I experienced faster growth. I'm not saying one is better than the next, but this was my experience and why I ended up away from 100% organics.
Thanks a lot man I appreciate the advice greatly. Writing down in my journal right now. Oh and also have you messed with Humboldts nutrient line?

I am useing the Organic line up and I love it. If you can, brew it for 24hs then add the micro's and feed.. Great stuff.

So far a few things I've picked up on some potency increasing tips are:

1. Good flush starting 2 weeks from harvest. (flush's arekinda optional I'll always do it but you can't set a date as when to harvest, you gotta listen to the plant so I'll play the flush by ear)
2. Get humidity as low as possible in the last 10 days, temperature too. Especially a change from day to night.
3. Less water in last 10 days. Cut waterings in half
4. Last two days no water and no lights
5. Cut plants down with lights off so plants don't start sucking nutrients up again.

And

Wait until pistils receed into bud to harvest
Use to judge readiness: pistils, trichs, leaves dying, curling, possible second explosion of pistils

Again these are not my words just information I've picked up. figured I'd post to get the knowledge out there.

Read this post for harvesting. https://www.rollitup.org/harvesting-curing/210501-zeuss-take-harvesting.html

Yeah dude if you wanna grow some chronic with straight organics, you definitely wanna get to brewing some compost tea, with worm castings, bat guano or seabird guano and some molasses. Also add whatever else you're going to feed them. Sounds like you're using Humboldt, they seem like legit nutrients, I would get the Myco Madness on top whatever other base nutrients or some other kind of Mycorrhiaze. Floralicious plus is another really super concentrated organic additive, only need a teaspoon per 5 gallons. This pic shows everything I am using this year, collaige.jpg The only thing that's not organic on there, is the Flora Nova and Big Bud, easily replaceable. Super Tea from the Guano Company, would last a whole grow for like 15-20 dollars, but you could buy each of the 3 guano's in it separately and get like 10 times as much

Never used Humboldt myself, but I heard if you use them, you need to only use them. They've designed their nutes to work well with each other, not necessarily with other brands. I'm sure they make a quality product.

I am on a second grow of The Church. Highly Trich coated and dense buds. Stone is good, still can function. Here are some pics of The Church at Harvest. :joint: 6.5 oz of this one.

WOW that is really interesting

Did the plant grow three separate main stems at the bottom by itself or did you manipulate its growth that way?

My first attempt of a 4 top method. I have been practicing this for a few grows now and I finally got it down, see below. The Church, Rock Lock and SLH~ Just before going 12/12.
