is it safe to use this solution to raise the PH of soil?

if not, whats the best liquid I can use to raise the ph?

cheers
In order to raise the pH of your soil you need to add something like fine dolomite lime or hydrated lime. Potassium hydroxide is what pH up is usually made of. You can use it to raise the pH of your water or nutrient solution but adding too much to the actual soil will cause problems with toxicity. Have you already planted or are you mixing up a batch of soil?

I have already planted the plants, they are a couple of weeks old now and doing nicely other than a few dried out/burnt looking leaves.

Not used any nutes yet.

Soil PH is about 5.5 I think which could cause nitrogen lockout complications in the near future?

I cant really afford a decent PH checker at the moment but I plan to get one.

That is a wise decision. The sooner you get one the better.
