Posting or "texting"?

Good Evening fellow Cannabis Connoisseurs, I did a little contemplation of my recent sojourns into the murky depths of RIU Postings.
What I found was a generous sprinkle of Excellent, well thought out "Posts", full of good grow info & tips, marvelous links, and in some cases, great humor! But here's where the "G.O.M.", (grumpy old man), comes out. Obviously not every post needs to be some 1000 word monologue, but I came across threads where 2 people seemed to be "texting" each other for 10/12 consecutive posts - and these abbreviated utterance's were sorely in need of spell-check.
One thing is for sure, "Jam-up", no-content posting can get your post count up real fast. I used to use the post count to get a partial take on the posters credentials. Alas, no more, when I see 90 day wonders with 3,000+ posts.
Sorry if this seems a little petty or sniveley; as stated above, I am a certified G.O.M., LOL, & I just needed to get that off my chest.
I DO wish you all, Good luck & good grow.......BB bongsmilie

exactly why you should never look at post count, glad you figured that out, nothing wrong with posting stuff unless its off-topic, some people questions can be answered in a few words so high post count and short-time since registered could just be a really active person with a lot of helpful posts. On the opposite end of the spectrum you have people with very few post who have been registered for a long time but all their post are great contributions. The only way to pass judgement on someone is would be to actually read their post, there is no quick easy way to go about it.

Anyway - glad you came to your senses lol
