Cool Soil Recipe

Mixing my own Soil Recipe, targeting amimic of natural soil, one that doesn't burn, is not hot but containing enough to feed theplants with out adding additional fertilizer through an entire grow.

Using Epsoma Tomato Fertilizer as a guide. The logic, Epsoma may have some scientific reason as to whythey chose the ratio's of N to P to K and dilution ratio of Epsoma Tomatofertilizer to cu. ft. of soil. The tomatoes need for Fertilizer is similarto mine.

The base is a mix of Top Soil (store boughtbags) Worm Casting (home) and Peat Moss, all totaling 30 gallons.

Tomato tone also says 3 cups/pound and add 3 lbs per 50 sq ft top 6 inches
Which is 25 cubic ft (top 12 inches) so 9 cups per 25 cu ft or

1.44 cups Epsoma Tom. per 4 cu ft or 30 gallons

1.44 cups times multiplier 2.65 equals 3.82 cups of Cool Recipe for 30 gallons

For my 30 gallons of soil I will add 115grams of Kelp Meal, 57.5 grams of Bone Meal, 287.3 grams of Green Sand and 115grams of Alfalfa Meal. "Cooking"will go for at least 2 months, occasional vermi-compost tea will be used and thepH will be checked and adjusted. I'll post results, the first grows.

Oooops, the excel table was posted originally but went away with the newer version of ROI.
I haven't had a chance to test it with a MJ grow and have gone through the whole 30 gallons with other garden needs.
Seems growing MJ indoors is the true ultimate stress test of any soil mix, so the verdict is still out.
