forgive me for double posting but I feel I didn't get many responses in the Bugs section. Yesterday was the hottest day weve had here; my room got up to 87F. Typically it stays 75-77 and on hot days it gets up to 80-82... 82 TOPS. I think someone opened the shed door and let hot air in. The shed id very well insulated so it stays cool inless you open the door.
Anyways, the reason I mention the heat is because all of the sudden I have a pretty major insect problem. I have seen these little things here and there since the beginning of my grow, but never more than 2-3 maybe at a time... I squish them, and problem solved.
I am now on day 35 of flowering and all of the sudden they appear in legions.
Humidity is a lretty constant 35-40%. Im in a very dry climate. My grow area is in a shed, so there are sometimes open doors and it is difficult to keep it sterile. I will probably put in screen doors and at least make it better for my next run.

Anyways, sorry for the long story, but I am freaking out here. This is my first grow and has been going so well. I am going to research various pests, but in the meantime? I wanted to post here as well as maybe someone can identify them quickly and help me with a solution. They seem to mostly prefer hanging out the buds and sugar leafs. They are pretty slow and easy to catch, but they can fly. Some are also on the walls and fan leafs too. I got lots of pictures here. I tried to get as close up as I could woth my phone camera.
I really hope theres something safe I can use for budding plants :(
The help is much appreciated!

The closest thing I could find are fungus gnats, but Ive only found maybe one or two pictures that look somewhat like the rest of them which isn't very convincing to me. Im picking up some sticky cards today to see if that helps. Maybe just keep picking them off and killing them by hand for now. They really don't seem to be doing any damage. I just don't want a bunch of dead bugs in my buds... That would be gross.

Do you have stationary fans inside blowing air around? I would get that air moving around inside with stationary fans and like you said set up the sticky traps. Those bugs are huge. At least you can spot them easy.

Yea, Ive always had a fad blowing on them. Ill get the sticky cards or at least some of the fly ones for now. I just want to figure out whether or not these are going to atart causing major damage or not.

Its like I squished 40, and 6 hoirs later... 100 more popped up. What the fuck are these? Im pocking up some sticky traps today after work. But is there anything else I can do to prevent this? There seems to be more and more wach time I look!

They remind me of termites. You say there are bugs in your outdoor shed which stands to reason as its outdoors. Are the bugs harming your plants or just your psyche?

Edit: Upon closer examination maybe not termites.

looks like Boxelder Bugs or Chinch bugs.. if they have any red on them they are Boxelder and won't do much damage if any. If they are Chinch bugs, they are bad.

Yea, Im still not 100% certain what they are. Definitely not termites. The strange thing is that they appeared overnight. Not one single bug on any of my plants, then the next day they are everywhere.
They don't seem to be doing any damage to my plants at all. I just dont want to have a bunch of bugs in my buds come harvest time which will be in 3-4 weeks. Im on day 36 today.
I bought some neem oil, diatomaceous earth, and fly traps, and one of those doorway bug nets with the magnetic opening. I hung 3 sticky fly strips and all 3 were full within 6 hours. I also got one of those fly trap bags with that disgustimg rotten smelling stuff that you add water to. They also seem to be going for that; there were dozens in there last time I checked.
When I get home today, I plan on taking all my plants outside, shaking them off and killing as many of the bugs as I can. Washing off all my leafs, applying the neem oil to all the leafs, and diatomaceous earth on top of the soil and the pots to kill those ones. Then, Im going to put some DE or insect killer in the shop vac and vacuum up all the bugs left in the grow room. Sprikle DE on the floors. Hang the net in the doorway that enters into the grow room. Seal up every little crack where they could possibly get in. Then once I feel Ive removed all or as many bugs as possible, I will put them back in the room and go from there.
This is going to be quite a project, but I hope it gets rid of them... At least enough to get me through the mext few weeks until harvest. Then, for my next grow, I will be much more cautious and thorough about sealing up the room so I don't have this problem again. They are starting to attract spiders too. I came into the room later in the day and found that hundreds of tiny baby spiders had build a web on my light, down the power cord, and on the wall. Ugh!!!

Well i spent about 5 hours cleaning everything, neem oil, diatomaceous earth, pickimg off every single bug... Within 6 hours they are all back. I dont know what the fuck to do besides just wait it out. I feel very defeated.

They are living in dead or decaying organic debris find this breeding source , eliminate it and they will go. In the meantime check the underside of leaves for eggs

Are they doing damage? I have so many springtails in my soil I had to double check even the other day. But they aren't harmful so why kill them? Idk what those are though, but if you want to kill everything cleanly and easily spray 50% iso aka rubbing alcohol on leaves and it will kill eggs and every stage of life. It's cheap, non harmful but you can't get it on roots. This will kill microbe life and your plants if given enough. But tops will love it, and be very glossy green again after a short period of recuperation. Any bug including the dreaded broad mite is no match for dollar store alcohol.

They don't seem to be doing any damage, they are just incredibly annoying and get EVERYWHERE!!! They love crawling up into the buds as well so I don't want to end up with a bunch of useless buds full of bugs.
They seem to be coming from outside. I guess I will go through and clear out all the weeds and debris around the perimeter of the the shed. I will give them a few days to recover from the abuse today then maybe try the alcohol spray.
I only need to buy myself another few weeks until harvest. Once I do that, for next time I can seal everything up tight.

dude keep up with the neem oil it helped me.neem oil from bayern company.1ml into 300 ml water and spray your plants lights off.your buds wont have any problem either.then wait 3 days and apply some more

It didnt work. Nothing worked i tried it all. Not even 3 layers of bug nets worked. These things are everywhere. They infested my whole house and property. I guess it happens every once in a while when we have especially wet winters and hot summers. I ended up having to chop them all down a week before harvest. They were getting eaten up really badly, very wilted. Bugs infested the soil; they were all burrowed inside the buds too. I put a layer of diatomaceous earth down and that didnt even seem to stop them.
I wil be starting over here in a few weeks with some 501st og. Sucks... But mother nature had different plans.
