How would one go about predicting if your plant is going to produce exactly 1lb until its grown, flowered, harvested, dried, cured, and weighed?

If mine finished at the size they are now (which they won't) people say this looks like it could be a pount ea easily now. They range from 6-7' tall and maybe 3' around. Your pic of that little guy is nowhere near the size you need for 1lb but give it another month or two of vegging and it would be.

Is it possible to get a pound out of a 5 gal container? My babies are almost twice the size of the ones in the pictures (I started them real early). But I keep reeding an ounce a gallon? Is that true in most cases?

Cared for properly that big lady could yield 3lbs plus given it is only july and assuming you are in cali.

If you have problems, bad weather, bugs, deficiencies, low yielding strain it could yield less than 1lb.

Being outdoors i'm sure you have spider mites, hopefully you're on top of that with floramite or avid or both on a regular basis and not just using neem oil sprays.

yes Im in california in great weather lol thanks for your guess on the yield, and the advice about spider mites...right now im being careless, I have nothing for pests,I know its risky, but suprisingly Im not having barely ANY problems w/bugs, just a tiny bit of grasshopper damage...but nothing else, though im sure bugs will be more attracted during flowering...neem oil is what im planning on using though, it doesnt help w/spider mites?

don't know, it's not my plant. :weed:
the plant on the far left will just make it to a pound. 14 - 18 ounces is my guess. if it continues as well as it has. :-P

the only bugs i ever worry about is caterpillars in the fall. i released pirate bugs a few years back and they have established themselves and keep everything in check.

Thanks for your input! Id be happy just to get a pound off the biggest one...im being very conservative on what my harvest might be...no need in dreaming of ridiculous amounts..anyways I havent seen what looks to be spider mites ANYWHERE...just a few tiny holes in fan leaves here and there....but i'll get some stuff to be on the safe side...ive also been thinking about getting a shitload of beneficial insects and throw em all over my plants... thanks again fdd.

I can believe that. it really depends on the strain. I grew a purple passion 2 years ago in a 5 gallon pot and that s.o.b got almost 8' tall and was just short of 2lb (dried out). I had fishing line everywhere on it to support the weight of the buds. PS... all I used was mircle grow products on it. potting soil/nutes.

We are about to find out, I've never tried for plants this size so honestly I don't know yet. I have none of the stuff needed for a proper grow either, no co2 and dept store nutes so chances may be slim to none.

It sure sucks to be broke... I was so close to having a great setup and then shit happens. Now I have lights I can't use because I can't manage the heat etc. Really sucks.
