I just had the top left wisdom tooth pulled about 6 hours ago. The info sheet from the dentist says no smoking for 24 hours. Ive heard many different things. The tooth was not impacted, just had a cavity that was cutting up my cheek. I hear dry sockets are sheer hell, and want opinions. There was no suture placed, and the entire thing took roughly 45 seconds. I have no pain at all. So I guess real question here is, safe or no?

No do not smoke lol dry socket is no joke...!
everyone of those comments is right but the main reason they say not to smoke for 24hours is the sucking I've had a lot of teeth out the first couple i didn't smoke but after the second one I've smoked ever time. just no joints or blunts because of the sucking if u want to smoke u most use a bong take one big hit twice a day and ill be fine no dry sockets

Totally agree and you are right about the pressure from sucking. Anything probably.

Have anyone you trust to blow you a shotgun? My wife did that for me after I had mine removed. A gravity bong would work well too. All you have to do is lift, push, inhale.
I actually had 5 wisdom teeth total. The problem with smoking after a tooth extraction is the pressure that gets put on the tooth site. I had no issue with dry socket at all, and my surgery was pretty grueling.

DO NOT SMOKE DRT SOCKETS SUCK if i could go back i would never had tried to smoke.
