Possible plant problem.. Pictures attached to help diagnose.

Hello,

I have 1 Blueberry Gum and 1 Og kush that I started from germination approximately 3 weeks ago. As you will see in the photos I built a little grow box that I intend to use until they are ready to be transplanted into 5 Litre pots. The first grow box built, I noticed that my plants were not receiving enough light and my blueberry gum had started to stretch (This occurred about 1 week in).. They're growth was also stunted.. I have since built another grow box which I have installed 2 100 watt cfl day light, lights (Any higher and the heat may have been to hard to ventilate considering the size of the box), A fan, Ventilation, thermometer and aluminium foil for reflection.. The the past week and half has been great. I was instantly shown results when my babies were moved to better condition. In this past week My blueberry gum has shown little to no progress.. My Og kush has a completely different issue, it is growing quite quickly, every day a little bigger.. But.. Crinkling is occurring.. The leaves seem to be slightly deformed with a very slight discolouration..

I will post a few pictures of my little set-up and of the alleged problems, anyone that has any input pls comment!

Thanks

i will help you out... but there will be a lot to take in since i see so many issues with your setup! i will simple list your visible problems then i will give you simple solutions....

Problems:

1. You are using a plastic container as a grow space, Not a big enough area plus plastic can get very hot, holding in heat.
2. You have no proper ventilation as i can see
3. Your light setup is not efficient for what youre trying to accomplish
4. Your grow containers arent the greatest(however will do the job till the girls get bigger)
5. You have no way to control temperature/humidity
6. Your grow box is not light tight when closed

Solutions:

1. Use a more proper container to grow with... even buying 2 x 4's and using sheething to make the surrounding walls would be more efficient. BUILD your box to fit whatever size area you have to work with... this is a HUGE advantage!!!

2. In order to execute proper ventilation you will need to install Intake AND Exhaust fans into the walls of your grow space to bring in fresh air and to remove hot, humid, stagnant air. High temps/humidity and stagnant air will kill your crop!!!

3. MJ needs a lot of light or I should say the proper light to grow to its maximum potential!!! If growing in a small space go with a Flourescent T5 High Output Fixture. www.nehydro.com <--- where i bought mine

4. Use proper containers... this is important! if you use the smallest possible container from the start then everytime your plant outgrows the container you will have to transplant it to a larger pot. so if you just use a large container right from the get go then the less transplanting will be needed. also grow container size has a lot to do with stunted growth. your root system is twice the size of the plant sticking out of the grow medium. this means that if the plants root system has no more room to grow then the plant will simply stop growing

5. Controlling your temperature and humidity is detrimental to a plants life cycle! Oscilating fans are great for adding a breeze to your grow space without drying out your plants since the fan is able to move side to side eliminating constant breeze in one direction. fans also help to strengthen stems. a dehumidifier is acceptable when running a grow space with higher humidity levels. remember that proper ventilation is a MUST when using a dehumidifier since they do produce a lot of heat! if your humidity is too low there are two things you can do depending on grow area size. if you have a small grow area then a couple bowls of fresh, pH balanced water in cereal bowls will add the needed moisture to boost humidity. if working with a larger grow area than a humidifier is your answer plus they are cheap!

6. Seal your grow space to eliminate light from penetrating inside and to prevent light from escaping! you dont want to lose needed light for your plant because the grow box isnt sealed!

Plant Problems/Solutions:

This is what i see from your pictures my friend....

Crinkling of leaves = Solution: The problem here is heat. Your plants are drying up due to the excess heat withouth proper ventilation in your grow space. Also the grow space is too dry! put a cereal bowl in your grow space and increase ventilation

Stunted Growth = Solution: The problem here is your grow containers or pots. your plants cant increase in size because you have limited their root systems size to a Solo Keg Cup. transplant into larger more efficient grow containers/pots, give them a week or two to recover from this stunting then you should see better progress from there on out!

anymore questions i will be kind enough to help you with :D
