I came to Portland a little over a year ago and was in the same boat. All I can tell you is that you shouldn't listen to the websites that tell you to go to places like The Waterfront to get some. Your best bet is just to meet people who share common interests and eventually it'll find its way to you because it seems like over half this city smokes. You need to just get on board the OMMP train, but you might have to take some time to establish a medical history, that is if you have some sort of qualifying condition. Oregon is harder to get a card in than Cali, but I have a friend who got his for heartburn(the chronic pain associated with G.E.R.D. specifically).

As for street prices, I have no clue. Everything here is so about the MMJ scene that anyone who seriously enjoys pot has found there way into it, be it as a Caregiver/grower or patient. Good luck man, seriously. Being new to an area is rough, especially when you feel like everyone around you is smoking pot but you just can't seem to find it.

Yeah man I'm just waiting for a my first paycheck to go get my ommp. I still have my card from colorado where I'm from and I think chronic insomnia will get me my ommp. I was just really looking for a short term hookup while its in the process and don't want to get ripped off. I already have a guy that can get me some decent bud, but its $20 a gram, and I'm still fresh for CO where I got quarters of golden goat for $45. Haha thanks for letting me know what's up!

Alright cool thanks a lot buck and Southerner! I'm gonna keep looking for a better deal or just wait to be legal.

$70/quarter, give or take, Willamette Valley. Prices should be dropping, (at least for the "regulars") as EVERYONE is harvesting, and there's a lot of product out there. Quality should be good -- you shouldn't have shitty weed here, with all the growers, consumers can afford to be picky.

I still think you can find a decent, reliable hook up at any bar with a back patio on a live music night. God bless those musicians! Good luck!
