portable AC to bring 1200 sq ft basement down 10F max and dehumid

My room( 12x8, divided in 2) draws air from and vents into an open 1200sqft basement. I was running a dehumid to pull RH down to around 60% in the basement( my rooms run at 55Rh flower and 65%rh veg with the basement @ 60%) but it's raising temps about 10F overall, which is raising room temps by 10F in flower and 15 F in veg( i draw through flower >veg>exhaust). I was thinking of getting a portable AC which will dehumid and cool but even the 10K's are only rated for a ~400sqft room. I only need a temp reduction of no more than 10F so do you think a 10K-12K portable would do that , fairly efficiently in a 1200sq area? I don't have the option of a perm installed ac system..or the $$$ for a mini split/central right now. would i be better off getting a 10K window unit and adapting some ducting?

portable ACs are crap for us........if u look at the energy drawl and amps vs BTUs and cooling it is crap .....not justifiable use for the money or energy

window shaker is more effective

And it's unanimous; stay away from the portables!

From what you've said, it seems like window bangers are your best bet.
