Alright I have a sealed grow room except for cracks and what not that's about 9'x9' I have 2 600 watt lights running one in a tent and one outside the tent now the problem beings it's winter I can get by in the the 70's when it's about 20 out but anything above like 40 puts it over 80 in there I can't vent outside even tho I have access cause of smell cause it would come out the side of my porch I did it one day and thought they were blazing outside so I was looking at getting one of those portable a/c units does anyone know if they are they any good for grow rooms and worth the 200 or so dollars cause come summer I'm gonna have to take down one of my lights cause it will never work with both so if anyone can help me out it would mean a great deal thanks, mike -stayblazin

hell yeah there worth it, better models let you set the humidity and temp seperate too. make sure you get one with a drain line so you can catch your drain water as its almost as good as r/o.

A window unit in the room with the tent would be much better. Portable ACs are less efficient. Also, if you put it in the tent it will suck out the CO2. Lastly, it vents really hot air that has to go somewhere, smelly hot air if your don't have a good carbon scrubber.

A window AC unit will not vent out smelly air or deplete CO2.

Go with a window AC unit. Cools more effcientally, you can just build a box around the "outside part" and run a ran to suck out all the hot air it produces.
