Between UncleBuck & Chesus they have almost 2000 combined posts a month.
One could make an easy argument that if they made the same effort doing something financially constructive, we couldn't consider them lazy whiners!

I find it shockingly sad you found enough care to do the math.

The business major in me, thank you!
Cool, a business major, perhaps you can tell me how giving a 5 trillion tax cut to the wealthy on (top of the cut they already enjoy) will speed up paying down the national debt?
Or How will it protect their interest (not mine) overseas. Shouldn't they pay for the security they enjoy overseas provided by the Navy or Air Force?
Or how bout the laws keeping Iran from just buying up their company. (remember China offering 4 times the asking price of Union Oil?) Should I be required to pay for that?
Corporation of today, have board members from other countries who see people as expendable, and don't operate with the best interests of the country in mind.
Freedom is not free.

I'm a socialist technocrat idealist and hardcore capitalist libertarian realist. I don't trust people is what's wrong with socialism.

Machines are replacing people. We can't allow them to enslave us, so we need to eventually move towards a technocrat society where ideas are rewarded and become the new currency.

That is funny - ideas eh?

Every person in the world plays this game with themselves - they believe that they have an original thought or an original idea, they believe that the fields behind their eyes are unlike anyone elses - we are all snowflakes, unique and individual, we all go around having individual feelings and individual conceptions and unique ideas.

But in a world of 7 billion people, all of them thinking 24 hours a day, all of them having roughly the same experiences as the other, how many truely original ideas do you suppose there are? With rare exceptions, if it can be thought of, it has.

Strange, I didn't see a single person advocate going back to a system of land in exchange for labor. Did you? Perhaps you can quote the post cuz I just don't see it.

All I saw was some woman saying that if you work more you might have more money and if you spend less money on drinking and smoking you might have more money too, but you guys just think that is the most ridiculous thing you ever heard. LOL Working for money and curtailing vices in no way can get you any extra money? that's what I am getting from you.

You are SOOOOO FUCKING JEALOUS of her wealth it drips off your posts like syrup.
NoDrama - feudalism has little to do with land in the modern age. It has to do with net worth. In a population where the majority have no net worth, they are serfs and those who have net worth are lords or nobles. In ancient times land = net worth, now it can be anything. If one has no net worth then they are forced forever to work in order to survive and any excess worth is always removed from the serf by the lords.

A group of workers enter the boss's office and tell him that they have just taken over the factory. "You can't", says the boss. "I own it"

"And how did you come to own it?" asks one of the workers.

"It was left to me by my father", says the boss.

"How did he get it?" asks the worker.

"He got it from his father", says the boss.

"And he?" asks the worker.

"From his father", says the boss.

"And he?" persists the worker.

"He fought for it", says the capitalist in a burst of familial pride.

"Well", say the workers, all together this time, "We'll fight you for it".

Hmm. I heard this very thing (save the last part) in the RNC last week.

All the speakers told stories of how their grandfathers or their sisters or people they knew had nothing and had to lift themselves up by their own bootstraps.

No, poor should not work. Let them lay around the house (with electricity paid for) playing their xbox 360s, plenty of food stuffed in the cabinets, with their 200 dollar nikes....

Of course the Dem voters wont care, since most of them are under the 50% and dont pay taxes anyway.
butthurt much?

I'm not even sure how I missed that retarded post.... dafuq is wrong with althor?
he's just invoking loaded stereotypes. that's what republicans do when they realize demographics are killing their bigoted, close minded party.

why do you think romney keeps going on with this welfare lie of his? it's coded dog whistles.

Things are changing whether you like it or not. Saying "go farm my land bitch", will result in your land being "occupied".

Power to the people!
Fucking leftie.

Move to China/the Russian Federation.

The only people who don't support private ownership of property are people who don't own anything.

I hear Shanghai is nice this time of year.

Althor, you are of the opinion then that no one who works is poor - am I correct?

If they work and they're poor, they need their fucking head examined.
i quit a job paying $11 an hour last year because i was going broke working there. i could barely afford to replace my boots on that wage.

in america, if you work and you're poor, you are not an outlier. most people who are on food stamps work.

The CEO of RyanAir said something similar about working folk. It's strange to see these privileged idiots come out and talk like this, even though they have nothing to do with the presidential election their words definitely remind folks what Romney is all about.

Most people don't own any land. Kinda get the idea of why your way of thinking doesn't work? Hmm? Maybe? Fucking Glenn Beck fanboy.
