Thanks for the quick reply superstoner. Im using dyna gro pro tek and foliage pro in my totes, but im thinking on switching to a nute that has been proven to do well in uc systems. Im looking at the uc roots, but their nutes are pricey. H & g maybe ionic or dutch master which none i have ever used. Any pointers on any of these nutes?

Thanks for the help

i've used the ionic line for about 5-6 years now in my 5 gal dwc buckets. the stuff is great, price reasonable but more importantly it keeps a stable ph and i use rain water which was little or no buffers. the only other additives is the pro tekt silica and subculture b beneficial bacteria

I bet Dyna Gro 7-9-5 would work better for you. People have been saying 9-3-6 is more suited for mj... i used to say it too... i no longer feel that way. 7-9-5 is damn perfect. I'm sure it will work well in your system.
All that is important is good NPK balance + all your micros.

I've used H&G coco and aqua. Good nutes... i find myself using DG Gro though in between feedings to fix deficiencies.

Ionic can be trouble. My hydro store won't even order them anymore... They are based out of some cold winter state... Illinois, I think. During the winter all of their product holds sludge in the bottle from the cold weather during shipping.
Dyna Gro does the same thing.. you want to store them properly. 70s...

Thanks for the input guys. Im gonna try the dyna gro foliage pro with the pro tek since i already have a gallon of each. I put 1/2 tsp for 25gl of pondzyme in my dwc totes, and i see good root development going on. Water looks pretty clean with this stuff and the plants seem to like it.

I did email dyna gro last nite to ask a simple question, and they got back to me pretty quick.
Here their reply

Thank you for your interest in Dyna-Gro Nutrition Solutions.*Dyna-Gro should be perfect for your undercurrent system. As it is totally soluble, and your system provides constant flow, the plants will have a balanced level of nutrient available. As with any other recirculating system, we recommend a nutrient change-out once a week.

Sincerely,
Michael

All I used in hydro now is Dyna-Gro. I tried other nutes but just didn't do it for me. What is the dose per gallon for pondzyme? 1/8tsp per gallon?
